Authorities say a Tupelo, Miss., police officer has been killed and a second is in critical condition in a shootout with suspected bank robbers.
Tupelo will not improve as long as the city hides the crime problem. When people report crime property values fall. The local leaders depend on property tax and that depends on property value.
As long as the income is below national average crime will increase. We need a startup business friendly environment for high paying vocations
If CDF was serious about recruiting high paying work they would supply the legal help needed for startup companies. Perhaps seed money and entrepreneurial training.
Personally, I have never known a more corrupt Police Department in all my years. That doesn't take away from the loss of life, however, if the Department wanted surrounding areas to take this town seriously and make it a safer place, they would clean up their act. A lot of people have been wronged by the TPD. The officers at the bottom of this link give some good advice on how to avoid a tragedy like this in the future. RIP. http://www.policeone.com/federal-law-enforcem...
"Personally, I have never known a more corrupt Police Department in all my years."
They are a result of the local leaders. The idea in Tupelo is to continue the slave trade.
