Ludicrous is being polite, after costing the school district more than $300,000 in legal fees for pursuing a policy that all but the most rabid of right wing zealots could see as painfully unconstitutional. Letting this man back in the district, let alone allowing him to teach American Government, is an obscenity that the voters of the Ponce de Leon district should remember the next opportunity they get to punish those they last elected to their school board.

If homosexuality is wrong, simply because of your procreation argument, then please explain these FACTS:
1. homosexuality occurs not only in humans, but throughout the natural world. It appears in over 1,000 species of animals. In animals that pair-bond, same sex couples have been observed and documented both in captivity and in the wild.
2. the percentage of homosexuals in the human population is fairly stable and has been so since such numbers have been recorded; anthropological studies also indicate that the percentage has remained fairly constant throughout modern history.

These two FACTS alone very strongly suggest that there is an EVOLUTIONARY reason for homosexuality, and that procreation is not the end all/be all reason for sex or marriage.

You see this is not the issue, the issue is that David Davis abused the rights of these people by subjugating them to his views. Just as if I removed your words from this site and your ability to protest that. David Davis attempted to use power he was never vested, and should be punished as such. Wow! I just read the judge's decision and it is spot on. I seriously cannot understand how Davis managed to keep any sort of teaching job, especially teaching government. Maybe they figured it would be a good remedial lesson in the Constitution for him. I think he should also have to repay the $325,000 that it cost the FL taxpayers.
