Lying can destroy lives, relationships. marriages, careers, and last but not least, families. Lying will destroy us most of all and keep us out of the kingdom of Heaven.

A word to the wise. When I rode the range with the likes of jessie James, The Dalton Gang, and Cole Younger, I always kept my friends close, and my enemies closer.

Well, someone, I'm sorry you were lied to, I can understand your pain. But keep in mind, it takes two to tango. I'm not trying to be mean, but some guys and girls just do "it". Of course, part of the problem is she probably was scared of him (maybe, just assuming) or maybe she liked the guy. But, maybe she should take something negative like this and turn it into something positive. Ok, I know you are probably thinking, what is this slh talking about. Well, what I mean is, this will make her a stronger person. Next time she won't crumble under the thumb of a guy. It sounds like you are very hurt and mad, which you certainly have a right to be, and the reason I'm posting here is to help you. I also have a daughter, but my husband and I have instilled proper values about issues of the heart and abstaining from sex until marriage. I realize this is a foreign issue for some people, but I'm not stupid, I know this happens everyday. And remember God didn't send instruction booklets with our children when they were born. Keep your chin up "someone" and get closer to your daughter, as she needs someone, YOU, right now. The deed has already been done, nothing can change that, so don't look back, steady on, my friend, steady on!!!

dear someone...I've seen the question you posted several times, and wondered about what I would like to say...well I'm still wondering. I've just been watching commercials, for ever it seems with the volume on mute, and really began to see the depth of your question. Funny, it came to me when I was seeing, "Mr. Rollback",you know...from the WMT commercial...anyway, I thought as he began to make every attempt to convince me, that he was actually a WMT employee, it came to me...he was lieing to me at that very moment! Did he think he was lieing, no, I don't believe so. He's just an actor doing a job, and I think the idea of lieing to someone has become so common, so real, that most people don't even realise they're telling a lie...that being anything that doesn't have facts to prove what is being said is real. The assumptions become real, and most don't know how to say, "well I'm guessing", or "I'm not sure", and deffinately don't know how to admit when they are wrong,(that one gete me every time)I'll be the first to admit when I'm wrong, and now I'm over 55 and somehow I've seen that teens, and young adults have become very aware of the obvious problem of lies. Perhaps in our defence of "trying to keep them safe", those of us that are much older know, have made a grave error in that area...there's no going back, we can't change what we did,and to be certain, cannot take back what we said... but we can say "I was wrong, and I'm sorry", thats a start...what do you think ???

Now that's the TRUTH if I ever heard it. Good post Bubbies' Mom! You now have it figured out why people lie. Because? They really believe what they are saying is truth at the moment. GOOD insight in your post. GOD BLESS YOU
