I don't get this at all; of all the car chases i'v witnessed, where property damage during the chase is substantial, where hair raising close calls happen repeatedly, when and if the culprit is finally caught and arrested, he gets off with a piddling wrist slapping. This guy, does no damage, gives himself up, and he gets seven years? Sad as it is the troopers death was because of his own lack of driving skill and common sense.

Completely agree with Paul. All this proves is that cops are treated as Gods, that can do no wrong, and their own mistakes must be "righted" by blaming and punishing someone else. This has to stop. This is not socialist China.

It is a shame that the trooper lost his life. But you know how most of the troopers are they think they are above the law .Take away thier guns and thier authority and what ya got ? a security guard is what you get .
