Lawyer fears worst for man convicted in death of NY trooper

It is too bad that this happens. Sure the guy was driving recklessly, but the cop was also at fault, and he should have stopped the chase when he realized he could not catch the guy. Troopers think they are invincible and can do anything they want to, and consequently this one died, he just did not know when to back off!!!!

It is true that both participants were at fault. But the motorcyclist certainly thought he was more invincible, by believing he could out-run the trooper without any backlash. Reckless bikers out-running the police was becoming all too common. I hope this will open the eyes of police, but most importantly reckless bikers on crotch-rockets. I feel the 7 year sentence handed down was fair and just.
