something has changed

Just to note a change in treatment from ABS Exotic. I have been taking my car to ABS since October 2010 and thought I was getting knowledgeable and honest service. Something has changed recently after problems were noted with my vehicle. It was originally assessed as "excellent condition" after some initial work by Angela. That work included control arms and bushings for the front end. I was told no alignment was necessary and no other work needed. New tires were added and no unusual tire wear appeared. An iterim issue of a "stripped oil drain plug" surfaced. There was reluctance to even touch it. When asked how it was known it was stripped if you didn't touch it, I was advised that it was only finger tight and could be replaced......for around $100. A BMW dealer looked at the plug and indicated it probably could have been done by them for around $20...no evidence of stripping or damage to the plug. I have spent a great deal of money in repairs on my auto and the most recent trip resulted in notice that the strut braces were fractured. When asked why they weren't noticed before, we were told that they probably appeared to be dirt...the underneath of the vehicle was detailed...no dirt present. When I requested the proper repair I was not given a direct response and was told my suggestion could not resolve the issue. I found a BMW bulletin indicating a repair very similar to what I suggested. I didn't receive a repair suggestion and again reqested one by email. No response. I called and got an obviously disquised female voice saying Angela wasn't there and leave a message. Someone else called back from a different number and Angela answered. I've since taken my car to the BMW dealer and found out the stuts are bent with sheet metal damage, four wheels are bent, three could be straightened and one is ready to come apart and dangerous to drive one. Front tires are worn on the inside with the strut almost rubbing the tire. The dealer indicated that anyone knowing what they were doing would have noticed the strut damage when the front end work was done. I was also told the damage to the wheel is so noticeable no one would have tried to put a tire on it. I cannot say what has happened but my treatment from ABS has changed and I'm strongly suspicious my car was dropped on a failed lift. I was told they had problems with the lift some time ago. If not damaged there recently there is a definite lack of knowledge on the part of those doing the work there when the damage BMW is repairing was not noticed. WORD TO THE WISE....Dealer might be your best bet!!!!

Sorry but contrary to most reviews for this lady my experience wass a nightmare.Because I was in the position of buying a home I couldn't afford to pay top $ for my engine overhaul.I came to Angela because she appeared to understand my circumstances &agreed that we would find a reasonable solution. Then funny business started. She told me that she found a motor for me at a low price with low mileage.I agreed to let her begin work.Strange but we could never talk on the phone but rather through email but busy people have qwerks that work for them.Once we began I gave her 1/2 of our agreed upon budget upfront. When I came in a few days later per her request the story had changed. Now she was suggesting that I needed a brand new system costing me $6000 more.I informed her that I too work on cars & that rapair was not necessary(then it was all down hill).Cost changed erratically from week to week for about 4wks that my car wass in her care finally resulting in us going over our agreed upon budget by $2000(for various unneeded repairs including 2 excessive charges on my bill for coolant & fluids)Again I have a great deal of experience with cars & a couple of great relationships with great mechanics. After doing some research on the repairs that I had paid for I found that I had paid for several that were just not needed & she was still trying to convince me to buy parts for repairs not needed instead of taking care of repairs that are still needed to this day.I left her shop with a faulty tranny that I was not told about,a leaking powersterring pump,& a massive oil leak, which came back to haunt me a week after leaving her shop. When I called to ask why these things were there after leaving her shop she refused to take the blame for the shotty work(after being the only shop to see the car)then she told me to "fix your own car since you know so much."If I did engine work for someone the least I would do is check for leaks. But again I'm assuming that because I couldn't pay for the platinum package that I was given the copper pkg.Now my car is a shell of itself with a diagnostic code list that looks like I prchase this 1 of a kind jag at a salvage yard.I took it back in after that powersterring pump exploded on me to be told that I needed a new one & that she found no oil leak(funny since everytime I park theres a puddle under my car.)I found that I have a leaking valve cover gasket neglected by Angela that will cost me an additional $300 to fix after giving her a substantial amount of $ I just feel cheated.I've even found her to be price gouging in certain circumstances throughout this long &exhausting process.I'm taking the time now to repair my car little by little because I just do not trust mechanics anymore.Again contrary to most reviews, I found Angela to be a liar,a moron that is not resourceful but pretends that she is.My findings are that thers's alot of you out there that have given Angela a few thousand $ more than you needed to for your repair but are none the wiser.I'm telling you she doesn't know what she pretends to & is just getting by preying on people with expensive cars & little patience by using financial scare tactics & hidden truths.I am very dissapointed in you Angela & you know what God has for you & the B.S. scams you & your boyfriend are running.
