Cocky dude driving that east bound car......... Seemed to me it was more important for him talking on his cell phone walking away from the scene during the interview process then it was for him to see the well being of that child. I was there and observed his actions.......... What a shame!!!!!!!!!! God bless little boys family.

My daughter Carmen and her friend Sophia were in Finn's Kindergarten class and became friends last school year. They are both very sad. Finn was a sweet, shy, adorable little boy. He was the boy that all the little girls had a crush on. He will be missed very much. If there is anything that the family needs we live in a neighboring community of his Mother I found out yesturday from my friend who is a neighbor of Finn's Mother. What a horrible loss. Your families are in our prayers.

Is this the same James (aka Jimmy) Suppe who owns Florida Autobody? Check out the links here: http://www.i-car.com/html_pages/about_icar/cu...

&

If so, the public should boycott this business, Florida Auto Body.

Marti- Please follow up on your reply to Joe. My son passed away last October while in his day care providers home. Once the EMT personnel arrived on the scene she decided to clean the house before the police arrived and after watching her reenactment of what happened it was clear to me this woman had little regard for the safety of a child and the judge also saw that. Since she has been convicted and awaiting sentencing for involuntary manslaughter. If you have witnesses that can show he had a clear disregard make sure the authorities know this. Also, I'm very sorry for the loss of Finn, I'm friends with a relative to his neighbor and it has really brought back my own loss.

To whoever wrote this, are you out of your frickin mind? You don't even know what you are commenting on. This idiot was driving 80 mph in a 35 mph zone, weaving in and out of traffic, drunk out of his mind (check his blood results in the public police report), he has had 3 speeding tickets AFTER the accident that HIS actions caused where he killed an innocent child and you call that an "accident" that happens every day? You should be ashamed to write something like that on here where the family could read it. Don't you think they are suffering enough without your ignorant comments?!

What the hell is wrong with you people!!! Don't you have lives!!! Don't you have anything better to do than bash this guy just cause he was driving drunk!!! Okay i understand that the kid died but how are you going to completely blame it on him? the kid that died wasn't even strapped in! now who's fault do you think that is? I'm not saying that the drunk guy wasn't wrong but i know him personally and beleive me when i say that he is really really sorry and has turned around his life and is no longer drinking.

Really??! Because he has had 4 speeding tickets SINCE the accident. Doesn't sound like someone who has turned their life around. Also, who could be involved in an accident (where they were driving over DOUBLE the speed limit and drunk), jumps out of their car and sees a little boy dead on the ground and instead of trying to help, calls their attorney???
"the kid that died" was just a month from turning 7 years old. Was excited to be meeting his new Baby Brother that he had wanted his entire life. He loved Star Wars, making people laugh, playing with his friends and his dog and cuddling with his Mommy..This child was gifted in many many ways and his death has effected HUNDREDS of people. So please rethink your comment of him being bashed for "just driving drunk", he has killed someone and caused many many others lives to virtually end as well.
HE WAS STRAPPED IN. If you had actually read the police report you would know that. The medical examiner also wrote in his report how there were SIGNIFICANT injuries and bruising that proved his seatbelt was on.
It is unfortunate that instead of feeling compassion for the lost life of a child, ANYONE would minimize the person soley responsible for his death to "he was just driving drunk". It could have been you he killed--does that hit home to ya?

THE LITTLE BOY WAS STRAPPED IN. READ THE POLICE REPORT. YOUR DAD IS GOING TO BURN, JSUPPE. FACE IT. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE TURNING OUT TO BE JUST LIKE YOUR LOSER OLD MAN. YOUR MOM FIGURED IT OUT, THAT'S WHY SHE JUST LEFT HIM AND FILED FOR DIVORCE. GET WITH IT, KID. GET USED TO YOUR DAD HAVING A BOYFRIEND IN PRISON ONCE HE IS CONVICTED. TOO BAD, SINCE HE WAS "JUST DRIVING DRUNK".
OH, YEAH AND TO BOB WHO POSTED ABOVE, YOUR FROM WEST VIRGINIA. NEED I SAY MORE HILLBILLY? IF IT WERE AN ACCIDENT, SUPPE WOULDN'T BE ON TRIAL FOR HOMICIDE. GO TEND TO YOUR GOAT.

James Suppe is now serving time in Florida Prison.

Finn's family still misses him every morning, every night, at every birthday, every holiday.

I hope that while Suppe sits in prison thinking about all he is missing out on, he will once in a while realize the lifetime of experiences of which little Finnster was robbed.

To clarify:
If Suppe hadn't been driving 80 mph in a 25 mph zone, this wouldn't have happened.
If Suppe hadn't been driving drunk and reckless, this wouldn't have happened.
If Suppe had cared about the consequences of his actions, then he shouldn't have been found & ticketed for driving +20 mph over limit a half dozen times both before AND AFTER killing a little boy.

you people are terrrible. how could you say that to jsuppe. he is going through this just like everyone else! he has to deal with the same pain! don't go accusing him of things he is only trying to stand up for his father and im sure you would be able to understand that if you actually put yourself in his shoes. how dare you say things about his personal life when you have no idea! dont you think this has affected our whole family! i am his niece and i think that he is doing the right thing by accepting his consequences and trying to move on with his life i suggest you do the same!

To claim that he is going through the same pain as the woman who gave life to the child, cared for him when he was sick, fed him, bathed him, loved him more than life itsself and then had to hold his dead, lifeless body in her arms and watch him die is down right ignorant.
Attempting to leave the scene of the accident and being forced to stay by witnesses, NEVER walking over to the dying child on the side of the road to see if he could help but instead calling his attorney from scene, continuing to receive MULTIPLE speeding tickets after the accident and entering a plea of "not guilty" until his Attorney advised him to avoid a trial at all costs and to accept a plea bargain is NOT the definition of accepting responsibility by any definition.
Unless you have had your child die due to the irresponsibility of a stranger please don't comment as to how it should or shouldn't be handled.

You have no right to tell me what I should and should not comment. My uncle has made many mistakes in his life don't get me wrong, but you have absolutely no right to judge him in any way. You have no clue what our family has been going through. I wouldn't judge the little boys family so therefore you have no right to judge mine.

My heart breaks for Finn's family.
@ Bob, How sad that you can't see that this was no accident. Drunk driving is no accident. I wonder if you would feel the same way had it been your child. I have been to Pompano Beach and know that a taxi is very easy to come by.
@ jsuppe, Yes drunk drivers that kill Innocent people get bashed. It's to bad your father had to take a life to stop drinking. Yes we all have a life, the one that doesn't thanks to your father is a little 6 year old boy named Finn.
@ Ssuppe, While I understand your cousin was trying to stand up for his father, his method of trying to shift the blame was just plain STUPID. Truth is whether the little boy was strapped in or not (and he was) is besides the point. Had your uncle not been on the road driving DRUNK Finn would be alive to celebrate his birthdays, welcome is baby brother, graduate, get married and one day have kids of his own your uncle robbed him of his life. For you to compare anything that your family is going through to what Finn's family is going through is another STUPID statement. looks like Stupidity runs in your family. Stupid man driving drunk, Stupid son tries to defend drunk driving, stupid niece tries to compare the loss of a life to going to jail. Yep thats right I just judged you and your family, your uncle gave us all that right when he decided to get behind the wheel DRUNK. Next time you visit/talk to your uncle please remember little Finn's family will never see or talk to him again thanks to your uncle.
