Bed Bugs...terrible experience,

My wife and I (retired couple) checked-in at Americas Best Inn – 4211 Noth Federal Hwy Pompano Beach on Dec. 28-2012 at 8:14 P.M. in room #108, guest #138492246, following a 14 hour drive, for our winter vacation at Pompano Beach.
We uncovered the bed and found a small bug, we put it on a tissue and showed it to the male attendant in the front office, he claimed not to know the type or where it came from, however he offered clean sheets which we accepted and used them in addition to the existing.
Next morning we woke up itchy all over our body. Reported the occurrences and showed the bug from the previous night to the female attendant and asked her to report to the general manager (Frank Accardo) and to ask him to call us.
We suspected bed bugs, but new very little about the creatures. We have since learned and suffered the consequences of being exposed to this terrible pest invasion. Following our stay at Americas Best Inn, many bites on different parts of our body (mostly in a row) started showing up.
We tried to contact Mr. Accardo numerous times but he is never available.
On Jan. 5-2013 we re-visited Americas Best Inn, asked the male front desk attendant that we wanted to speak to Mr. Accardo, we were told that he was not available, however his message was that a pest control company inspected room 108 and found nothing.
We showed him evidence of the bed bug bites on our arms and legs, questioned him about the pest control company’s inspection and the reason for the mattress being wrapped in plastic sheeting, he was sympathetic and said “I say and do what management tells me”.
Our stay at Best American Inn – Pompano Beach has ruined our vacation including sufferings and expenses to replace night clothing, steaming and chemical spraying the contents of suitcases knapsack and interior of our car.
We feel that,at the very list, we should get some sort of apology!
Any suggestions on h this institution can be made accountable?

I know it's been a long time, but don't let the owner hide like a roach. There is an online bed bug registry site for North America ( bedbugregistry.com ?), so at least google for it and put his dungeon on the list. Also, be sure to look for the appropriate city office tied to where you stayed AND contact the broward county health department. FL is bad enough--ugh! WE HATE FL!
