Wow, everyone is getting so defensive about this situation. I don't think we can even venture to guess what all of the causes are for this situation. But I do know that many teens throughtout time have snuck out. That is not to condone it, but anyone who thinks otherwise is not living in the real world. Let's say there are problems with these teens and their parents, let's say there are not, either way this can happen. Yes, it is tragic and something needs to be done. But any one of us who thinks we know the exact answer is nuts!! The bottom line is what are the parents going to do now. How are they going to help to influence where their children go from here? And perhaps, how are we going to get this message out to their friends and peers in the community so we help to avoid the next instance. When we are young we have that feeling that we are invinsible......we, as adults, throught trials and tribulations, know its not true, but teens don't learn this lesson until it is too late...thank GOD that this time these teens have another chance to learn this lesson!!

What is really disturbing was when concerned one say he was going to go to the movie theater where Ramon worked. He told Ramon he would not make contact with him at that time and instead would wait for him after work and follow him to a more secluded location before making contact with him.That sounds very pre-meditated to me and is also a very good reason why no one should give out there myspace web page or e-mails in some of these forums. I e-mailed all these links to myself because I believe "concerned one" in Pompano needs to be put away.Law-enforcement needs to look at him as a possible suspect in the unsolved Boca mall killing.He knew details in that forum that only the killer would know.It may be just a coincidence but the details had not been released to the media.

That may be the case but I never been in a accident where I was ejected for not wearing my seatbelt into the intercoastal waterway, have a deputy save me...at that time of the night I was usually at home under the Scooby Do covers sleep with sugarplums dancing in my head.

i think you all just need to leave the situation alone. i think whoever wrote this article in the sun-sentinal needs to conduct further research on kayla's family. as for the "adult" that said we need to learn how to read, write, and spell, instead of "srewing around on bridges at 5:30am, needs to get a life. whoever you are, know that we're kids and we make mistakes and you can't judge others unless you judge yourself first. look in the mirrior.. you were us when you were sixteen. i'm not saying what happened couldnt have been avoided but obviously it was meant to happen. kayla's family has nothing to do with what kayla decided to do at that moment. teenagers will do things reguardless of what our parents say. im not saying that its right, im just being real. she knows who was driving. she was just being retarded for a moment and trying to save her friend. now that this is over, she knows lying to save her friend was wrong. she learned her lesson. why dont you learn your's and leave her friends and family out of this. its none of your business.

OMG how scary, let this be a good lesson to never get personal on these forums or any boards for that matter, do not let people really know much about your personal details, you never know if the person you are talking to is a nutcase or not.

There has to be a way to trace ip from the posts on here has anyone gone to the topix people and asked for this to be reported to law enforcement?

If you can find old posts you could send them to the cyber crimes unit at the Broward Sheriffs office and give them something to do for a while, they will get any records from topix through court order if they need to, this guy needs to be found and stopped asap.

not sure if they can help but Cyber Angels also has a unit of police officers who help out tracking down cyber stalkers.
