Definitely a Scam. A common timeshare scam is for the resale agent to contact the client and say that they have a confirmed buyer for the client’s timeshare membership. The purchase offer will include an attractive purchase price and various terms that the client is required to agree to in order to process the sale. One of the terms will typically be for the client to ensure that all monthly payments and maintenance fees are paid up to date with their resort. This is one way for the resorts to ensure that unhappy clients are not delinquent in their timeshare fees:

I see a lot of comments, and what i see is mostly people that are reluctant about phone solicitors. I see people that don't want to vacation anyway, or purchase something to good to be true. I purchased the Coco, Orlando and Vegas and got exactly what i was offered, and had a great time. So what, you have to take the 90 min tour. We spend 90 mins on our couches at home. I am getting the Cancun trip now and cant wait to go.. Here's how i see it, its 297.00 and if you cant afford that you cant afford to vacation anyway. My wife and i are blue collar workers and don't work for travel options. We just enjoy life

My husband and I also took the Orlando, Cocoa Beach, and Vegas offer. We went to Vegas first and went on the 90-minute presentation; no big deal. Then we booked our trip to Florida in November, because that's the best time to go to any of the parks...probably their slowest time of the year. We had to attend a 90-minute presentation in Orlando and in Cocoa Beach; that was not what we were told originally. When I called to tell them that I know they recorded our telephone conversation and I wanted them to go back and listen to what we were offered and what we agreed to, they refused. Said there was nothing they could do about it; we had to attend a presentation at each location. Then they charged us additional money to stay there because it was "peak" season...what a joke! In Cocoa Beach there were only 6 cars in the parking lot and the cost of our room was only $57 a night. I called again to complain about the additional cost; nothing! I sent a letter when I got home; no response. I sent two emails through their website; nothing. Oh, and you don't stay at a resort but rather a hotel not connected with the presentation. So, yes, we spent $297 +$117 to travel; that's about $46 a night. Hmmm, rooms in Vegas are cheaper than that and our Cocoa Beach room was only $57...and neither of the two presentations in Florida were 90 minutes but closer to three hours. COuld we have left sooner? Yes, but our agreement said we would attend a MINIMUM 90 minute presentation and if we didn't meet the requirements we could forfeit the vacation plan...so we had to stay for the entire presenation. I think the little bit more it would have cost to go on our own would have been worth a lot more considering we gave up a whole day, really, of our vacation by attending the two presentations.

Oh, you get a free cruise for attending! Great! Can't actually pick when you want to go...we'd like to go back to Florida for spring training but if we pick a date in March we can't have our other two choices also be in March...so you pay $100 non-refundable deposit and you may not get to go when you want to...and they only let you know 45 days prior to your departure...so I can't buy my tickets that went on sale today and can't be booking airfare or car rental until I get the exact dates of the cruise. Not a problem if you lived somewhere closer to Florida so you could drive.

So Travel Options is extremely nice to you BEFORE you leave; but you won't hear a word back from them AFTER you return! Take the time to do a little research online and book your own travel; it'll be worth it in the long run.

Just received a call (more like my 5th call) from this company. Really, what kind of person would give out there credit card number just because some shady person calls and says you can get 4 trips if you give them the number. When I said I was not going to do it, again I was put on the phone with a man named Micheal who tried to bully me. What a joke! Like I was going to change my mind? I told the Rep that called me that I was called before and was told that it was the last day I was eligible for the offer. She said "Well, they lied", when she put me on the phone with the "supervisor", he said "this is your last day for the offer". I just laughed. What a bunch of trash!

Sandy&Gary did stay in Orlando and Cocoa Beach during Thanksgiving.
Rates in Orlando normally run anywhere from $59 to $109 or higher depending on the hotel. Cocoa Beach can be alot higher because it is on The Beach...In regards to the tour, it was explained there was a tour in each location. I do believe for the money they paid they did receive a good vacation. We are not a scam and do the best to everyone and give them a great vacation. Yes timeshare is involved and it told at time of purchase.

Got the same call as all the other comments. Glad I didn't buy it. I am interested in hearing from someone who did buy and how it worked out. Was it worth it? Where the accomodations/cruise as they promised?
I bought a vacation from then for $198.00. It ended up costing me another $99 to go when I wanted to. Then, when I got back home, the motel had charged my CC another $84.00 - I didn't have any charges there! Their wifi didn't work the whole 3 days, the TV didn't have a remote, and the shower wouldn't turn completely off causing a loud dripping sound constantly. The bathroom also smelled very badly. It was the Clarion Resort and Water Park in Kissimmee, FL. I'll never buy another vacation from a call like that again!

Fraud in general and specifically of timeshare are the order of the day. People should be cautious and not be fooled by false promises about investment returns, timeshare resales or anything that sounds too good to be true. There are good articles on how to avoid being scammed:

Wow! I was told I had a travel voucher to use with the company, but I needed to answer a few questions to be sure I qualify. As soon as the operator found out I currently wasn't making the household income they required, he hung up. Rude or what!!

Well David, I am sorry that you think this is a scam.If you tried to book dates with less than a 60 day notice as required then yes maybe the dates were unavailable. Right now is a busy time of year . Contrary to the comments listed on this Forum, we do have alot of travelers ( happy travelers). So much that we are booked solid from now til the beginning of April. If you would like to try and book dates with a 60 day notice, I'm sure we will be able to accommodate you .

I was just contacted by this company, and I have to say, I'm rather amused by them. I wasn't sounding excited enough or something when the Jamaican sounding young man read his script to me because he seemed to have panicked and transferred me to his manager.
Manager told me that "only 2% of entrants" were selected to win this "amazing deal" of 4 nights in Orlando, 3 in Daytona, rental car with unlimited mileage, tickets for two days at Disney, a 4 day cruise to the bahamas and 4 nights in Las Vegas. When I asked if I could see the fine print, she told me that it was a verbal contract and that they would go over everything with me. She also mentioned that she couldn't hold the prize for me while I looked into it, before I even asked such a thing.
I convinced her to "call me back in 45 minutes when my fiance is home", because I "didn't want to make such a big decision without him".
On that note, they're apparently preying on inexperienced young couples who are definitely desperate for a free vacation, because they said that I entered at the last bridal show I was at. That's just poor form.

5Minutes ago i received a call, answer it and female says shes calling because i have a credit on my account. I ask what the credit is for and she states i participated in a tour few years ago and do i remember that? I tell her i do not remember that and tell her im in court can she email me the information? She tells me she can not do that. She stated i have 12months to use the credit once it has been scheduled but trip must be scheduled within 'probably 60-90 days' she didnt know exact timeframe. Not to mention when she called sounded like spring break pool party in background. If a business can not send you written material about their company be leery!

So I, too, have just received a call from someone at Travel Options. She gave me the same speech that, apparently, many others have gotten. I'm not even sure what exactly she was trying to offer me - it went from trips in Florida to trips in Vegas to going on cruises. She also kept coming back to this "$500 credit" that we were "entitled" to. After listening to her talk for about 15 minutes that's when she wanted my credit card information. When I told her that I couldn't commit to anything without discussing this with my husband first (who is out of the country for the next couple of weeks for work) she asked me why and what concerns he might have. Valid question, I suppose. When I told her that we discuss ALL big decisions and purchases with each other before going forward she transferred me to someone else. That's when the conversation went from good to bad. The gentleman I was speaking to (with the last name Souza) was very rude and short with me. When I tried telling him that I needed to discuss this with my husband first he cut me off, raised his voice, and said "You understand that if you don't make a decision today you loose this offer." I, AGAIN, started saying I needed to discuss this with my husband. He, AGAIN, cut me off and, with his voice still raised said,"Yes, or no!" At this time I tried to tell him not to speak to me that way, and that is when he hung up on me. I would have considered looking into using them for travel, but not now. After speaking with Mr. Souza and reading all of the other comments I highly suggest staying away from this company.
