"Can Executive Orders be Overridden or Withdrawn?
The president can amend or retract an executive at any time. The president may also issue an executive order superseding an existing one. New incoming presidents may choose to retain the executive orders issued by their predecessors, replace them with new ones of their own, or revoke the old ones completely. In extreme cases, Congress may pass a law that alters an executive order, and they can be declared unconstitutional and vacated by the Supreme Court."
All President Obama has done is written a memo and made it look more than what it is.. That is political reality..
The Second Amendment says what it means.. We all have the right to bear arms.
But along with that right comes of course with rights and limitations.
And yes if found Constitutional (again) we will most likely see another federal ban on automatic and military weapons. Once more.
As I stated in my first post I really think the argument and debate should be on expanding mental health services. Banning weapons makes you and others all cozy and feels good. The reality on the ground is that it does not address the real issue here. That is the why did these monsters(not how) slip through the cracks.
I know that may sound or come across harsh. Chicky.. I wish you had a registered nick. Unfortunately, all I can say to you at present. That I really understand the shock and horror that you are living with at the moment. It is not a place any one who has been there would wish on any one.
"Chicky.. I wish you had a registered nick."

This comes from being banned so many times.

I remember about that poor little boy. Absolutely mind boggling that a parent would allow a child to handle a gun at all, let alone a gun like that. I hadn't heard about the little girl. Chilling.
And yet, here are these complete morons screeching that this is a gun grab,(it isn't), for NO REASON,(smh), and if only responsible people owned guns no bad things would ever happen (bullshit).
And get this. I got an email last night from the family I nanny for stating there is a guy from NJ lurking the neighborhoods trying to prove that the shooting never happened. He is a blogger trying to prove it is all a conspiracy to grab guns! The police told him to leave or face arrest. Some people are SO effing sick.
There is just no way to ensure that guns won't fall into the hands of lunatics. The Sandy Hook shooter was actually taught how to use a gun by his mother.

Many years ago when I was single I lived in a little apartment in a small city. The guy who lived over me was a gun enthusiast. Often when I was getting my mail I would see him pulling gun magazines from his box. He must've had a subscription to many gun magazines as he often carried around several at a time. In casual conversation he claimed to own several handguns (and who knew what other kinds) and liked traveling to gun shows and going to shooting ranges. Fine, he's allowed his interests, but I lived worrying about him living over my apartment. What if while cleaning a gun it accidentally went off? What if he was unbalanced and got enraged at an annoying neighbor or had a fight with a girlfriend? What if when just handling a gun or showing it to a friend it accidentally went off? Maybe the bullet would come through my ceiling or go through a wall and get one of his other neighbors. The guy could've been the most responsible gun owner around, or careless, or nuts. Who knew? But in reverse what threat did I pose to him? That my cat would be too loud? I rejoiced when the guy moved out.

This is like the smoking issue...how do we balance people's rights to own guns with other people's rights to not be affected by it?

Again, you're not comparing dying to killing, but abortion to murder.
See, I KNEW you were the one who is not understanding Kenose's point. Kenose doesn't need anything explained to them.
It's exactly what I was asking.

Well, susan, I wouldn't know about the unborn as there is no such thing..

Are you contending that you are predead?

Anyways, as woman have miscarriages. If you are going to contend that your god is omnipotent and omniscient. Then it could be said that your god causes spontaneous abortions (miscarriages) rather to easily.

There is only good and evil, you choose evil, chicky chose evil, she taught her children to hate Christians. Your spirit is truly demonic. We need to save the children for people like you. you wish death on the unborn, you are demonic.
And you write about children being raped by demons. And you really think that makes you better?

Really?

"Are you contending that you are predead?"

Are "pre" and "un" the same?

"Anyways, as woman have miscarriages."

A spontanious abortion is different from an elective abortion. One is deliberate killing, the other is not.

"If you are going to contend that your god"

Did I say my God?

"Then it could be said that your god causes spontaneous abortions (miscarriages) rather to easily."

So every time there is a death God is killing?

No, because god is not real. That makes the human uterus the biggest abortionist.
That's like saying the human body is the biggest murderer, when people die of natural causes. A uterus doesn't kill a fetus. The fetus dies of natural causes when a miscarriage happens spontaneously.

I agree that being here shows us just how nuts people can be, and they post as PCers here.

So dying and killing are the same in your book?
Sue, you know that's what they think. They think because the end result is the same, "dead is dead", that there's no difference in manner of death; between medical abortion and miscarriage. Since we know there is a difference,(natural death as opposed to being killed), they're trying to make the comparison that a miscarriage is the same as the fetus being killed, again like there's no difference between natural death and killing.

Katie says God kills the fetus, Chicky says the uterus does, and neither makes sense.

They couldn't be more ridiculous in their arguments if they tried. All of their arguments are ridiculous.

Since no one has said dying and killing are the same thing, why would you ask that?

You're going through your usual spin to AVOID using certain words, knowing they don't apply to the abortion issue, and the result is this incredibly stupid question of yours.

"I am dying". "I am killing". WHO has said these things are the same?

What a stupid question.
Try this; "I am dying.", compared to "I am killing." No one is saying those are the same, and that's not what you're getting at.
You're trying to compare, albeit obliquely, abortion to murder. And you have to twist it into the stupid question you just asked in order to do it.
You people are idiots.
No, PLers have been comparing abortion to being KILLED, and miscarriage to dying of natural causes, because abortion is KILLING the human life in utero, and with miscarriage the fetus died of natural causes. You people are the ones trying to avoid that fact with your twisted arguments and false claims.

<quoted text>How very selfless of you. Lovely. The fact remains that you think you have a choice of whether your wife has a career outside of the home. What if the two of you didn't agree on her having a job? What if she decided that she wanted to remain in the public sector and advance her career? Would you step up and take 50% of the household/family responsibilities for the rest of your marriage? Would you stop thinking of it as a favor and accept it as an equitable obligation?
Your wrong elise, I don't view it as a favor -I view as a privaledge to do what is right for my family.

My wife wanted to work, and whatever she wants to do in the future, I will do whatever needs doing to help her in any way.

Not all men look at their wife like they own them.

I look at mine as a precious gift
Alot of men are good at the whole submit unto me thing, but not so good at givong themselves up for them.

It is not a mans or womans place to ride shotgun over the family.

No, you're not, Idiot. Dying is something that happens to you, killing is something you do. And NO ONE has said those two things are the same.
What you are really trying to do, is compare abortion to murder.
Wrong, Bitner. PCers have said there's no difference between grandma dying of a heart attack or shooting her in the heart, because "dead is dead".

That's not talking about murder, but just being killed as opposed to dying of natural causes. You PCers try to avoid the fact that a human life IS being KILLED diuring a medical abortion. You're now trying to evade with your stupidity in falsely claiming what PLers have been trying to do.

"Murder" is just a legal term, and one you PC hide behind. KILLING isn't a legal term and you can't hide from it.
