Purchased a Glory motorscooter from power play. It would not start when it was shiped to me. I called Pompano Fl office, he said he would fax me 135 point check list I cold go thru and do myself. VERY rude--don't recomend them.

When a dealership makes a mistake they are more than happy to make it right. It makes it ten times tougher when from day one the customer does nothing but scream , insult, and demand things towards employees. Yes we made a minor mistake titling your bike Wes, and we took care of it as quickly as we possibly could. Despite your horrible attitude towards all of us we treated you with nothing but repsect and held up to our end of the deal. We truly are sorry for the inconvenience we caused and we hope that there are no more problems for you in the future.

I purchased a scooter from them then it broke. I had given it to them to fix and had gotten it back three time still broken. They dropped it and scratched the sides up and have treated me like dirt. I would never do business with them ever again. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!!!

I have left my name and phone number on this forum (as-well-as directly on Power & Play Whse web-site) along with my desire to speak with Tom McMahon regarding the lengthy down-time for warranty service of my scooter. As three weeks approaches this Thursday March, 31, 2011; I have to ask, "Where is the service?"

My son bought his scooter from Power & Play Pompano on 7/23 at 2 pm in the afternoon. We were told it would be ready in 1 hour we wait until 3:45 and had to leave to get my son to work. I came back at 5:15 to pick up the scooter. Candace in the front was wonderful and showed us everything on how to work it. Started it and it stalled a few times, she called the service guy out to see and he said "Oh I must have forgot to choke it out" 3 hours to get it ready and he forgot to do that.. Ok dealt with that. Good bike until the tail lights, tag lights and dash lights did not work. Took it back on Monday Aug 1 they had it all day fixed the lights. Everything good again. Wednesday Aug 10 son called me and told me the bike was trying to stall out again. He went out Thursday Aug 11 and tried to start it but now its dead won't start. Called Power and son was told that's what you get for buying a VALUE scooter. My son paid over $1100.00 for this.. That was not called for at all. After a number of phone calls got the roadside warranty, paid $80.00 then an additional $40.00 to have the bike towed back to the shop. Had the bike Thursday @10:30 am called @ 4 pm to see what time we could pick it up was told it would not be ready they had to order a part and it would not be in til Friday. No we are sorry we did not call you, not helpful at all. Friday morning my son called to see about what time it might be ready today. Young lady in the service dept said she is not sure what time the part will be in but by the time they get the part in there is no way it will be ready today anyway. I called and spoke with Taylor who then told me that the pistons and some other problems were the issue with the bike and they basically have to re build the top part of the engine for the bike. How can a bike with 5 miles when we drove it off the lot and has not even been used for 3 weeks be this bad. Sounds to me like the bike is defective and needs to be sent back to the company that built it in the first place. No one bothered to tell us any of this the number of times we called. Taylor then told me that he has to talk to his boss cause the bike has a 6 month warranty but that only covers parts not labor.. WTF. No one ever told us that it was a parts only warranty and nor does it say it on his papers. I think Power and Play should give my son another bike of the same one he bought and then send the broke screwed up bike back to the manufacturer. We are not asking to return it or exchange it cause he does not like it. Its freakin defective. I am waiting to hear back from Taylor now but if something is not taken care of I will contact Tom the owner.

Are these Chinese "value scooters" or branded product that has the problems?

It was a value scooter. I spoke with Tom the owner and he fixed the whole problem and gave my son a new scooter a different model which everything works perfect from the moment we pulled off the lot. Thank you Tom.

Tom,
I found a couple of scooter at you LW store that I am considering buying. They are the brand Italica but I cannot find reviews on the bikes. Can you direct me to a site with reviews and maybe a site with good reviews of your company?

As the italics is a newer scooter it may be hard to find reviews for the 2011 & 2012I bikes. You can find reviews for the lake worth store on goggles place pages. Just search scooter lake worth and click on reviews. If we can help you with anything please let is know.

Happy scooter shopping!

Bought a scooter from Power and Play can't even count how many times it broke down. There were many days that it broke down day after day for what they said was stupid stuff. Finally after 6 months of spending day after day there took the scooter to another shop they had it 3 days and fixed it better then new and have not had a repair problem since. I do not think Power and Play mechanics know what they are doing or they would have fixed these issues the first time.

They post in their store that oil change is $24.80. Oil is not included. For that alone stay away. The only oil they use is synthetic at twice the price.

Listen to the negative comments, the oil change scam is very telling.
