It is far more likely that someone will die if you have a pool than if you have a gun. Maybe we should outlaw pools before we outlaw guns. (Today of course my sympathies are for the family of the drowned toddler).

I wonder who was watching the kids as they swam. This article lacks a lot of details. Prosecute the parents if they werent supervising!!!

I live on Morrison st. I am saddened that something like this would happen in our neighborhood how ever those children always seemed un-atteneded and this event was rather inevitable. I absolutely agree with ROADRAGE. Sympathies to the families.

This is a clear case of child endangerment. When will people start being responsible for the well being and safety of their children.Parents should never let siblings watch a child that young.

If you have a pool and small kids, shouldn't you put safety gates around the pool area if you're not going to bother watching the children?

Idiots!

sad story, but it was an accident people, i seen first hand how you can have a pool full of people and lose sight of a small child especially when they go under, i pulled my neice out of a pool, something caught my eye under water, and it was her, thank god she was under for only a few seconds , but i still have nightmares about that one. it can happen that fast. my condolences to the family.
