A Mad Tea Party

It takes a sustained long term effort to wreck a really great nation. The Republicans have made that effort.
It is not a choice, as if Bushies were different from the Tea Party. It is a continuing effort, more of the same, tax cuts for the wealthy, wreck Social Security always the same. Bush wanted to privatize Social Security, from Day One. Bush wiped out a surplus with huge tax cuts that enriched his buddies out of all proportion to anything else they did. The Tea Party wants more of the same, nothing new.
It is a long term effort, consistent in method, to ruin what this country was.

The Democratic Party has a national leader and both a State of the Union message and an Inauguration message which outlines President Obama's Goals and priorities.
There is no such Republican counterpart for either a leadership figure or a policy package. The GOP has its platform but this lost the last election for them. The Romney/Ryan package did not gel.
The bottom line is that we are stuck with President Obama and his plans and that by and large is a good thing. They are fact, idea and innovation based and not doctrine based.
Always remember that you cannot argue doctrine and that's why we separate church and state but that's also why the GOP tries to keep political evangelism alive. It depends on it.
The 2013 GOP Defund Obamacare campaign will go down in history as the same type of stunt as the Gingrich shut-down folly. He was driven from his speakership. What's now in store for the feckless Boehner who could not lead a July 4th Parade?
The GOP has such incompetent leadership that it is mind boggling.

Cheney and pals are in the same boat as the crooked bankers we bailed out. They should be in jail, but we let them slide as we "moved on." You'd think they'd be grateful. But that would require having a sense of reality and shame.
Instead they make snide remarks about the President and act like they're bulletproof. Next time, bring the rascals to trial. We can start with sedition charges against Ted Cruz and company.

They want to destroy the World in order to save it, not realizing that the principal threat to the World they wish to save is themselves; their ignorance; their selfishness; and their stupidity.

BadTeaParty stands for:
Tea Party-led House of Representatives shut down the government, threatened the global economy with debt default, refused to take up the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) even after the Senate passed it and, shockingly, almost stopped reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act.

The last installment is due in 2014 to compensate tobacco farmers and others for the loss of their production quotas when the government’s price-support program ended a decade ago. The buyout was paid for by an assessment on cigarette companies.
“I believe there’s an overwhelming likelihood that all of the final year of the tobacco buyout will be paid,’’ Republican McConnell said.
One such issue should be making improvements to the federal H2A temporary visa worker program.
Many Kentucky farmers use the program to hire migrant workers to help produce tobacco or vegetables or work on horse farms.
