Virginia Madrigal (Judas)

Two wrongs do not make 1 thing right. A driver without a license is violating the law. The state of CA has laws for drivers without a license; if they are caught the second time driving without a license there is jail time for the driver. The police by impounding the cars of the drivers without a license are stealing from these drivers. So the police are also wrong and their sin is double because they are thieves. And they are creating enemies for life.

The cars are impounded and the owners of the towing companies are being enriched with the proceeds of the cars that the police are stealing from the drivers without a license. The motorcycle police officers are stopping people without a reason and some times the towing companies are close to them waiting for cars. I think that 95% of the citations issued by these officers are made up and the officers are definitely profiling.

The officers in motorcycles think that they are god, when they stop a drivers; they are supposed to tell them why they stopped them. If the driver dare’s to ask them” why did you stopped me” they answer “I ask the questions here, get out of vehicle” and without a reason they search the vehicle looking for any penny any reason to issue a citation.

A divided community will not stand. You Virginia are part of the division you have so much hate for the poor immigrants that you will do anything to harm them. Can you see that they are human beings like you? Any individual that earns their bread with their own hands are our equal and they deserve to be treated with respect. Do you have any idea how hard they have to work earning minimum wages to buy their cars? The police that we pay to protect us are using the law as an excuse to steal it from them. What kind of human being are these police officers and you?

The towing business in Pomona is booming. Have you seen all the new towing trucks, do you know how expensive those trucks are? Do you think that the towing companies are getting rich without sharing it with the producers of the business? Think about it. It is time for you to wake up and move to the right side. Open your heart and see that the people being abused is your own people, do something about it. Stop being a Judas.

I think that the police do not have time to chase criminals because there no money by doing so, they rather used their resources earning extra revenue under the table by issuing vogues citations and impounding cars.

I think that the police on motorcycles and Sergeant O’Malley are getting kickbacks from the towing companies, but this is an issue for the federal government. Chief Romero does not have control of his department. We never had so much racial profiling in Pomona as we have now.

Virginia listen to your heart. Be brave. For once in your life take a stand for the poor people of your community. Just for 1 minute re-think of what is going on, can you see that there is an open possibility that something is wrong with the police and the towing companies?

Political Farmer you are a nut job just like Jimenez, Ornelas, Carrizosa, and the few other activists trying to make Pomona a safe haven for illegal immigrants. You are blind to the laws that the people of California voted in for a reason. Go to any other city around Pomona and the same laws are being enforced with the same results.

It's very simple and your small group of illiterate nutjobs fail to see it. You break the law you go to jail. You break the law, the vehicle code voted in by the people of California takes your car. Plain and simple.

Everything you spewed in your writing above is reconfirming that yes, Pomona is doing a good job enforcing the law. You say all of their stops have no probable cause which we all know is a crock of crap. Every ticket they write has the probable cause on it and you know that, you just fail to see it and don't want to see it.

I would bet my life that your name is Professor Calderon. Your writing stinks of favoritism toward illegal immigrants, and your thoughts stink of racism. You are the ultimate racist that we all must now deal with in California.

Keep up the good work Pomona PD. Take more cars from the law breakers. The more you get off the streets the better Pomona will be. This small group of activists can keep preaching their garbage to the few that will listen.

Political farmer - you just went on about 20 different issues. Check points are about LEGAL driving - current drivers licenses, insurance, current tags, no driving under the influence, etc.
Anything else is not in this conversation.
You don't know how some of us struggle to make ends meet, but we still have to comply with the laws or else... I am sick of seeing a hispanic, mexican, latino last names in the news, re: killings, child molestors, someone exposing themselves to school children, kidnappings (and fleeing to Mexico). Now convince me to listen to your argument. Pomona PD keep doing your job.

Pomona resident, that's what these people are trying to preach. They feel that Pomona should be run like Mexico. No laws, minor punishments for crimes, ten chances at failure, no taxes, free healthcare, etc. They want all the citizens to pay for their people to live here risk free. It's tragic because they are also the ones that are killing people, molesting children, running into people with licenses and insurance and fleeing. It's a never ending repeat story. I need to move out of Pomona fast. It's going to get even more dangerous that it is now. Pomona was really crazy 10-20 years ago. i think it will be that bad or worse very soon.

Why were they able to rally 500 people for a meeting at St. Madeline's Church to speak out against the DUI and unlicensed driver checkpoints? Yet there were only about 75 people at a meeting set up by Pastor Rick DeBruy at Lincoln Community Church after Ethan was murdered. That evening at the church I don't remember Mr. Jimenez being present or any of the other protesters that frequent his checkpoint rallies.

Since when is this gimenez a pomona leader? Who elected him to be one?

Jimenez and Calderon aren't city leaders, they don't even live in Pomona. They are trying to make the city a mess. Pomona is 80% hispanic now with 50% of those illegals. They are trying to make Pomona an extension of Mexico.

Pomona solved both homicides last week I read. Amazing.

IE help us in Pomona. We need help.

Pomona has a ridiculous amount of unsolved crimes because the dirtbag witnesses won't talk, and the department is GROSSLY underfunded. Because the city is such a lost cause financially, the city has placed a freeze on hiring. No new officers coupled with other officers retiring or lateraling out means more work for fewer people. The department is already pulling people from investigations and other special assignments just to cover patrol. They're so shorthanded they can't even get officers to work cushy overtime shifts. Pomona has been horrible for years, but expect it to get much worse in the next few years.

Ms. Madrigal,

Thank you for your service on the resident editorial board for the DB. But since you endorsed Hunter, and took potshots at Elliot, you underestimated the voting patterns in Pomona.

Sister, you need to do your homework. And get the facts straight before you write your diatribes to try to accuse us of supporting lawlessness. We will debate you in a public forum in Pomona. We are retired peace officers who support the Pomona PD. Norma, Linda, and other council members know what is really happening with Joe and the PD.

We were there at Rick's church. We recognized that something was up after the Esparza family shared with us that they did not invite the television crews to cover Ethan's vigil. The fundamentalist Christian community who likes to proselytize the Latino Catholic community tried to exploit a Catholic tragedy. We have spoken out, not through a newspaper, but with our Christian obligation to assist in the protection of families who have been traumatized by evil: gangs and crime in Pomona. We don't seek recognition from Man. We accept our Christian Catholic obligation in the same manner that Christ walked on Earth.

We said ya basta, formed our gang prevention group and have been involved in Pomona and the the Scouting component in Pomona until the Pomona PD tried to turn the Cub Scouters into snitches on the people at Olive St..

Sister, we love and forgive you. But you need to get off your soap opera and meet with us to move forward to a solution in Pomona. Our door is open.

If you and your hater forces try a recall and continue to demonize Christina, we are up to the fight. As you underestimated what people want in Pomona (peace in our neighborhoods), you may make the same mistake again if you try to attack our unreputable integrity we have in the Pomona community.

We don't take things personal. We offer it up to God. But unless you are working towards a solution for the common good of Pomona, you have no business making false accusatory written statements in the Daily Bulletin. We'll be praying for you , sister.

IVCP you are full of hate and filth just like the other small small group of activists in Pomona. You have no power in Pomona, you just wish you did. You will be put in your place very soon. You were allowed to do a few things that you would never be allowed to do in any other city. I won't say why that is, but it won't continue. You will soon see. Your lies about things that occur and your lies about who is involved in your group are clear. You preach filth and racism, which leads directly to the deaths of citizens in Pomona. Open your eyes. Now you threaten someone that lives in the city that if they don't come to your side, you will take care of them another way. Very classy and very businesslike. Threats. Just like what you preach daily. Your group of about 10 illiterate racist people think you were voted in by the people of Pomona. You weren't and you mean nothing to the average citizens of Pomona like myself. Your tirades will be silenced. See you tonight.

Until some of the spineless citizens of Pomona step up and become witnesses Pomona will continue to be a shit hole. No witnesses, no arrest, no convictions. Apparently all of you spineless citizens are affraid to take a stand against the pussy's that are causing havoc in your city. Grow some balls or quit bitching about the police department.

You complain that because of the checkpoints, crime witness's don't trust the Pomona Police Dept., thus won't come forward if they see a crime, such as a shooting. Then you complain that Ponona PD tried to turn Boy Scouts imto "snitches". Do you not realize that gangbangers, and other criminals consider crime witness's "snitches"? Now you may be talking about "snitching" before a crime is commited. But would you rather have a crime averted by a "snitch", or have witness's come forward afterward?

Dare,

The activists will believe whatever they want to believe. They go back and forth everyday and think one thing today and another tomorrow. They know they need to go to Sacramento to get laws changed but they blame Pomona PD for enforcing the laws the people of California voted in. They blame checkpoints for murders, but don't realize the more law breakers, yes driving without a license is a crime, off the street the less more serious crime will occur. They are like a brick wall. Not much there and not much reason for the way they think.

Whoops, I'm sure you are an uneducated idiot. Take time to go over all of the solve rates in L.A. County and you will find that Pomona's solve rate is above average. And to have a solve rate above average in Pomona is very good due to the fact that 95% of the murders are gang murders where people don't cooperate. If you were to look at the non gang murders you would find that the solve rate in Pomona is probably higher than most cities in L.A. County.
