So even perfectly healthy people get heartburn when they stop the drug after being on it for 2 months.

Well I suppose they couldn't wing that one and $ay those people where actually ill and needed to keep taking their medication seeing as they didnt have any problems in the 1st place.

Antidepressants, especially SSRIs have rebound effects and side effects which were conviently deleted from peer review research by major pharmaceutical companies. All of this was conviently reported in the New England Journal of Medicine. ADD meds are suspect too
and recently Neurontin was shown to suffer from cooked research.
Here's a blog on the situation with antidepressants
and doctored research that has many psychiatrists now recommending exercise, cognitive approaches, and such instead of antidepressants that appear now to be nothing more than expensive placebos with bad side effects.

I have been on ativan for 10 yrs this month, Most .5 at bedtime but increasingmore during the day for severe anxiety. I carry it with me everywhere...even for a walk to exercise. I decided to try to go off it and have made the decision to substitute valium 5mg twice daily to help me do so. This is day two and so far so good. Ativan is wonderful drug when you have panic attacks. I am currently going thru menopause and some people do experience panic attacks due to the drop in estrogen and subsequent rise in adrenaline. However I think over time I have still been helped by ativan but experience panic symptoms when it wears off. That is now unacceptable to me. The valium makes me tired after the am does but I feel like I can function so here we go.....

I have ordered prescription drugs (without a prescription) online from XTOP24 .COM about two years ago, and was pleased with the speed and quality of service.
I'm thinking of doing the same thing with my medication. The meds is expensive, but there is a generic version available overseas.
I love the idea of taking responsibility for my own health (or lack of health) and skipping the bureaucracy... to say nothing of having to drive to the doctor, wait in line, yet again, to get a prescription refilled.
