Foothill Transit SUCKS as a public transit agency! Trying riding the Westbound Rt. 492 on a Saturday afternoon from Covina to El Monte, and see what I mean (20 minutes late-ALWAYS, and NO CORRECTIVE ACTION TAKEN!). The administrators who run this pathetic excuse of a transit agency should have pay cuts EQUAL TO the service cuts they are making against riders!

It came as a suprise to me that they're considering cutting some of the lines I use the most. It takes me more than an hour and a half to get home from school, and without the bus, I'd have to walk uphill. Usually, I depend on the bus for anything small, because I can't drive yet, and I don't want to ask my parents to drive me around everyday. Yes, Foothill Transit sucks; it's late for 15-30 minutes everday, with some minor exceptions. However, it's one of the only ways I can get home in a shorter amount of time.

Maybe if some of the drivers would quit letting people who act like they can't speak english on for free may they wouldn't be so much in debt. I used to ride from L.A. to Diamond Bar down Colima and these Asian riders who can't speak english would get on for free.

When Ive had visitors (from mexico) riding in my car-- and they see the buses- with 3 people on board... they ask... why are the buses so empty?

This is a big reason why it is difficult, if not impossible, to get people here in Southern California out of their cars and riding public transportation. Anytime revenue is down, the agencies want to cut service. People need to get from Point A to Point B in the best, most-efficient way possible. To have a trip that would take 20 minutes by car take an hour-plus on public transportation is stupid. I ride Metrolink to downtown Los Angeles everyday because it is actually faster to travel that way than it is to drive it. I lived in Monterey Park/East LA a few years back, and the best way to travel downtown was by car (even the new Gold Line through East LA would probably take 2 to 3 times more time than driving would take).

This really doesnt shock me in the slightest, who would want to rely on the most inconsistant form of transportation available. Heres a thought for foothill transit's higher ups on the chain, why dont you stop wasting money on printing booklets of the times you will NOT be at your stops since an on time foothill transit bus is almost as rare as a unicorn, and maybe spend a little of those funds on some kind of system that encourages the failed bus drivers to actually be on time. Its good to see our hard earned tax dollars so hard at work for such a inconsiderate and shady company. I have taken public trransportation consistantly in several different regions for quite a while and i will say that foothill transit is by far the worste one. It would be nice for this company to maybe keep the bus rider in mind throughout day to day operations, i cant tell you how many times i have had a problem well worth mentioning to management, that just gets swept under the carpet with no methods af prevention even taken. It may seem like i have no faith in this public transportation system and thats because i dont, most people who ride do it because they have to, foothill transit exploits this need by not taking any corrective action or any attempt to make the rider happy. 3 dollars a day might seem insignificant to you, but over the course of a year of daily riding, thats a lot of cash. Go ahead and cut costs foothill transit, because the truth is, your service cant get any worse!! Maybe we would be better of funding reliable puplic transportation that cares about the riders!!!

Foothill Transit is by far, the worst bus service i have ever ridden. Its never on time. Bus drivers drive as slow as a turtle. Some of them are really rude at times. Doesnt care if they are on time...Probably just trying to milk the company for some OT pay since their salaries are the lowest of all bus companies anyways. Line 492 in particular, has got to be the worst on time performance for a bus company. This bus line is never on time. I have mentioned it to the company, but all they do is say; "they will look into and see what is the issue"....obviously, they havent done so yet. If one bus is broken down, they will just wait til the next one comes...which can take an hour on line 492 since they are always late. Terrible run company...
