High Prices! Go to krogers or SAMS and get double the product for the same price!

People...store.....parkinglot. ....god help you if you go there the first week of the month!!! I went there yesterday and there was a big wad of dirty buggy wipes sitting at the beginning of the checkout line on the conveyor and when I said something to the cashier she just looked at me and started ringing up the next customer.

I have been shopping at Krogers in Athens simply because it's clean not to mention the selection/quality. It's not really so much about price I just want a clean well maintained grocery stoe to shop at. It's amazing how many Meigs countians that I see shopping there I'm assuming because there is not a decent grocery store in Meigs county. Wake up Mr Powell or you will soon be out of business unless you can make it on Meigs county's food stamp program!!!

Every time I buy ground meat there it is brown in the middle. I found out that if they don't sell the meat in time they just put fresh meat around it! Gross!!!!!!
So... Needless to say, I don't shop there anymore!

News Flash....you're not saving any money there genius! How much gas did you suck out if your car getting to Lancaster??? About as much as you "saved" on groceries! Powell's prices are no more expensive then Wal-mart. And I agree we need to support our local businesses. I guarantee if we don't have a local grocery store you would complain then too. The Powell's are good people & would do anything for anyone. They are not in it to rip their customers off. I know them all personnally and they are great friends & good businessmen. Take your complaints somewhere else!

NEWS FLASH!!!!! It isn't about high prices or keeping business local or the price of gasoline or who is a nice guy and who isn't. It's simply about wishing that I/you or anyone else could have a decent grocery shopping experience within 25 miles of home! It's called standards...It starts when you park in that dirty nasty ass parking lot and when you walk in the door and see dirty floors and buggys with trash still in them! I could go on and on but it seems that no one here expects anything more than half assed anything! Conrats to the Powell's for being a social sucess and a business failure!!!!!

I can clearly see that a lot of you haven't spent very much time away from Meigs county and I'm glad to see that your living up to the stereotypical Meigs county standards! Go back to your trailer!

You're very wrong, I have seen a lot of this beautiful country. You are being just as stereotypical, saying i havent been out of Meigs. What is it you are doing to the
Powell's & to other people on this topic? They have the cleanest store they can with
all the riff-raff that comes in & out of there come the 1st of the month. I posted my opinion & you steriotyped me as pretty
much Meigs County trailer trash. Just
because I gave my (nice) opinion of the
store & the owners does not give you the
right to assume I live in a trailer. I don't now
but i grew up in a trailer, so no, theres
nothing wrong with living in trailers. You
dont know me so don't judge me. I don't think I judged anyone in my comment, I just
simply stated the facts that the person
wasn't saving any money by driving an hour just for groceries. People like to complain over any & every little thing. if there wasnt a
grocery store in Meigs, they would complain about that too!
