Jaz swallowed a piece of dryice and apparently she had to go to the hospital for it. Alot of other ppl swallowed it and all it does it make you burp, it turns into a gas. So now braggs suspended and all the chem 1 students are getting questioned tomorrow about it. Everyones mad at her.

I had Bragg a few years ago and he is an amazing teacher. I do not know this girl but she is at fault regardless of how nice she is, I remember the contract of safety that Bragg has his students sign and it talks about swallowing chemicals. Which like others have said, dry ice doesn't do anything harmful, so I don't understand why it's a big deal.

Just a note kiddies, DO NOT EAT ANYTHING IN THE CHEMISTRY LAB! Duh.

Dry ice has a nominal surface temperture of -109 degrees farenheit. Only a complete fool would ingest anything that cold. The damage it would do to the mouth, throat and esophagus should be clear to even the biggest idiot on topix. Plus, it is frozen carbon dioxide, which becomes toxic above 5% in the atmosphere.
No doubt this is thought as ok by the same people who's parents thought it was ok to smoke pot, sniff glue or huff paint when I was in school. Its nature's was of getting rid of the stupid ones before they can reproduce. Too bad it doesnt always work.

Just a thought... if he has been teaching longer than most of you have been born. I am pretty sure that he would never do anything to harm kids like that... some people are just P!ssed that it was their senior year of football, and they decided to d!ck around their junior year and didn't get the grades to play their senior year... that apparently makes the teacher a bad person...but other than that which i figure who Let it be is... that girl just freaked out... she is and will be okay. and I honestly don't blame the man for retireing... if i had dumb ass kids that made ly life hell, i would too!
