I'm sorry I've read what was offered and I think they should accept it. They have great benefits better then most places, they don't have to pay that much for it and getting a 25 cent raise is more then a lot get.

Int todays economy it pays not to be greedy and just be glad you have a job!

The public needs to support these hard working people. There are severals ways that we can help. I will not let my kids ride a scab bus or eat a meal provided by a scab.

A scab is a replacement worker brought in for when people go on strike. Regular workers go crazy about them. Scabs are just hard working as anyone else and my kids will be eating their food and riding their buses. Not that I'm for or against the strike but if there is one my kids need someone to feed them and transport and if it's a scab so be it.

I understand that union workers do not mean anything to you and I appreciate your opinion however, if you do have a job and say I walked in and offered to do it for you at a cheaper rate without benefits, without overtime pay and etc and your boss fired you and took me than you would understand just why unions are important. I also agree it is horrible that it is happening to anyone working with children. I hope and pray this is resolved before there is any worries for anyone to feel divided about crossing a picket line.

ok well my thought is i dont want my kids to lose out on their education, but my solution to the problem is going to be drive my kids to and from school and pack their lunches and give them money for drinks. because what everyone is losing focus on is the kids.....i may not send them on the bus but they will not miss school..thanks

I have no problem providing the same for my children but we must also focus on the kids that have no way to school or the ones whose only meals come from school? What will happen to those children they deserve an education too. I hope we all pray that an agreement is reached soon so NO child is affected by this!!

you are 100% right supporter. i was just saying that this is what i will do so my kids do not miss out on their education, my husband and i have been back and forths about this, he comes from a long line of teamsters, as we dont support whats going on, we are just trying to look out for whats best for our children. we were kinda sitting on the fence as to weather or not to even send them to school. personaly i went to meigs high a lot of years back when the teachers went on strike, and we all was made to sit in the gym all day. so i know the effects of a strike or the kids. i hope this is all taking care of very soon, no child should have to be with out for any reason.

I apreciate the bus drivers and are close with about 6 of them...and all of them do not want this strike and I can understand providing for their family and what not I myself have a job but I would like to graduate as schedueled and some of my college requirments depend on it so I will be attending school....you can't just deprive your kids of their education it's not right

"You want to know"
Thanks I feel kinda stupid not knowing what that was .
But I agree my little girl will be going to school. Just because (scabs) come in which I fine a very odd term but don't mean u should judge them because they r not n the unions because the people not n it need a job too!! But I also agree and hope they find a way to avoid affecting the kids and any way all I say is let's all pray for them k

I would say that nobody "wants" a strike, but sometimes it's what you have to do to be able to get anything or as in this case keep what you already have.

So to the ones that will not send their children to school. Are you willing to let them fail this school year for not attneding? This could be a long strike. I am union but not sure that I can make my children suffer because of a strike. Very hard decision that alot of people will have to make.
