It is a shame that we cannot hire people who respect the law to administer our legal system. This is a horrible example of blatant hypocrisy. The only thing that would be worse would be if this officer would be slapped on the wrist if he is guilty of these crimes. The criminal justice system seems to take care of its own, and it would be a tragedy if this man received special treatmnent. This would show that there really are two different systems of justice - one for the insiders and the one for the rest of us. If this man is found guilty and does not do any prison time, I will encourage everyone I know to vote against all emcumbants for all county offices as a way of expressing my disgust. These people hired this guy, and they should bear the consequences of their actions. If they knew about his behavior and turned a blind eye until he was caught, then they should be punished along with him. If they did not know about his behavior, then they can prove it to me and everyone I know in the county by giving him an actual punishment.

We are all watching.

I have to completely agree with the above poster. If this man is guilty and receives no real punishment, I will vote against everyone who is currently in office on the Ogle County ballot. I don't care if it is for dogcatcher, the people in office at our county created this mess, and I want to see them clean it up. Everyone I have talked to about this case is Pi55ed off about it.

I have seen probation officers walk out of Oregon bars so hammered that they can barely walk, but they laugh when you offer them help in getting a ride home. They act like you are insane for thinking that they will get arrested in their own county. I have had more than one actually laugh at me. Ogle county is one of the toughest counties in the state on drivers (who don't work for the County). They know that they won't be arrested and they obviously do not care if they hurt someone else. It is time for change in this county and time for County officials to step up to the plate or we will find someone who will.

The court system should be taken seriously. Both for people in an out of the "building". Anyone who jeopardizes their job like this guy did doesnt deserve to have a job (in the legal system, McDonalds maybe). I would love to see the outcome of this... I hope he serves time for all the people he has hurt. He has no one to blame but himself
