finally something luvnut says I have to agree with. But he left out RED BULL, and that will be gone on the 31st when the town manager leaves town.

And meth.

It DOES make me sick though; it's my hometown, going down the gutter.

Some nice beauty shops and a good Mexican restaurant. Dave's has always been good. Both dollar stores are good. CVS always nice. Florist's are good. Library is outstanding. Subway and Chinese place are popular. Tracy's-good Auction Barn brings a good crowd. Hardware is good. Folks at Food Lion are helpful. Wendy's-good. Candle Factory is fun. Service stations- Marshville Pharmacy-Autumn Care- All good. Banks - Helpful - Lots of nice places here for those that know them - BUT
Drive the streets and you'll see- Empty store fronts. The place across from Tracys looks like a homeless camp. Wagon Wheel? Closed or open? How can you tell? Thrift shops (junk) Trash everywhere, Thugs. Beer Joint. Blue Club. Welcome to Marshville sign looks like it was made by 3rd graders. This is a good town but we need to make it attractive to someone passing thru and give them a reason to stop and not a excuse to keep on driving.

I works out at home. I do crunches gettin out the bed, run laps chasin my old sorry husband out the door so he can get to work on time, I do pulls gettin the ironin board down, push the fridgertator back after I'm done cleanin up behind it. Then I picks up behind the youngins, do bendovers gettin the warsh out the warshin machine, then I do bendovers again puttin them heavy wet clothes in the drying machine. Then I do bendovers a third time getting them out and foldin and puttin away. Then I practices my figure skating moppin the old slippery kitchen floor (the Russian Judge gave me a 9.8). Then I picks up behind the youngins again, cuts on the TV and sets they little asses down in front of it and tell them if they move I will hunt up my switch. Then the school youngins come in and want to play basketball in the driveway so I have to go move my car and park it on the grass (my old man will beller about the ruts in the yard but I don't pay him no mind) then I starts figgurin out what we is going to eat for supper and start making it. I yell out to my oldest daughter to come in and help but she think she is the female Labron James and don't want to quit playin. Then the old man come and can't park his truck in the driveway so he parks it on the dam street right in the way of the tow truck that has come to repossess my sorry ass neigbors old hooptie. So they yellin and bitchin at each other but I don't pay that no mind. I'm working over a hot stove and pouring sweat cause old cheap ass husband won't pay to get the air condition fixed. I had a good workout!

The noise of the train is Marshville's problem #1.You're never going to attract beautiful, quality people to walk in and out of nice shops with that kind of noise.

I can tell you don't get out the house very much by what you said. I can tell you about a lot of places that have trains coming right through town and they doing just fine.

Problem #1 in marshville is you cant stop and get gas or stop to shop without some bum needing a dollar. People dont feel safe anymore. You can go to wingate foodlion and see alot of marshville residents. The prices arent cheaper just cleaner and safer.

I goes to Subways in Marshville becase Michelle Obama is one of the ones making commercial for it. I gets my grocery at Food Lion when I am at it becase it is clost to it and I just use my free grocery card.from the govment. I get out my free phone and call my husband on his free phone to come pick me up in the Escalade. he keep it hidden in the garage at our section 8 housing so they won't reposses it. We is only 3 months behind. Barack Obama is The Grand Dragon of Socialism. We is so proud.

I understand you are attempting to humor us but this is in fact the mentality of Marshville. First step is to cut out all the EBT cards, section 8 houses, and obama care. In order to accomplish that we need to deport some people, and I aint talking about the hispanics. Can you only imagine a Marshville with a lot less color? Results would be alot less crime, and a much safer and nicer place to live. Whites aint coming here to live, only blacks will move into a black community, and we have become one.

The trains aint deterring people from visiting this town, the hoodlums are. Who the heLL wants to stop in a town full of blacks with the pants down, drunk or high and approaching every stranger for quarter. Not even the blacks that pass through want to be bothered. I realize its not possible, but sure is worth dreaming about having a white christmas one day in Marshville.

Color shouldn't be a problem. Pants are hanging low on most youths. Maybe if we came up with some ideas to draw people into town we could do something to reverse the trend. Gas prices need to be lowered here. Banks could offer better rates to get customers. The chamber could offer coupon books to help explore Marshville. guided history our of our old homes could be started. Newcomers don't realize the history here, both black and white. Help them discover how great or town was and could be. Old fashion square dances, horse shoe pits, ice cream socials, hot rod car show ,old-time drive in movie, mini golf?? Use our square for something other than parking for the Mexican rest.

A horse shoe court? Tour our old homes? Mini golf? Where you gonna get the people that got nothin else to do than that, the good people all have jobs, they need to work. You looking for another activity for the people that dont work? Give them something else to do besides hang out and smoke weed and drink. Now you want to let them tour old homes to plan their burglaries and robberies, horse shoes to give them another avenue for gambling? Please dont come up with any more assinine ideas, the town is already bad enough.

Why don't you come up with some positive ideas if you think our town is so bad? Not everyone is hanging out. We have more retirees here and something for after hours to do would be great. Most people head to Monroe. We have good results with Boll Weevel but we need something to draw the money into town every weekend. Look what people attend the auction. Something fun that the whole family can do. We don't want to disrupt working people, but if there was something they didn't have to leave town to do, maybe we might get some of the green to stay here. Families enjoy other things together than just work and school activities.

How about a tour bus? Somebody could convert an old school bus into a sight seeing bus and provide tourists a tour around Marshville showing them all the historical sites, celebrity homes, theater district, high dollar shopping stores etc etc etc! Oh.....wait a minute..........ok, make that homes & businesses that Randy burglarized, Franks office, the place where Shot & his boy cooked their medicine and of course N-head creek and Gails house.....Oh wait.........gotta have tourists.....never mind.
