A rumble of thunder 30 miles away, a car back-firing, A drop of moisture from a cloud, ANY cloud, a fire-ant bite, ANYTHING, and the DSL goes out, for me and my neighbors. Clear blue sky, and not a hint of breeze, and the DSL goes out for HOURS. But the 69.00 a month bill for this nightmare keeps coming. A spider moved and his web shook., and the DSL goes out again. That's all it takes. They're worse than Heritage Propane, even. Bills for nothing.

Totally agree!! The repairmen are fine - usually can fix the problem in 5 minutes. IF YOU CAN GET ONE!!
Their equipment sucks.
Their customer service is absolutely the WORST of anywhere I have ever experienced. Ever!
Got to make some changes. If I keep dealing with these idiots I'll have a stroke!

I don't know about the dummies, but I do know who the smarta$$ always is.
For one thing, there are areas here that don't have a whole lot of available, workable options.
For another thing, it will be more than a little inconvenient and costly to lose a number that's been established for 39+ years.

Adding up the days I've paid for service when not receiving any, I'm sure that I have more than enough paid for the priviledge to 'whine' a little!!

It's every day, several times a day. No relation anymore as to weather, although a drop of rain or rumble of thunder 30 miles away spells certain outage. Clear weather does not offer much hope. One minute you can click on and it will work, next minute is out again. Or could be out for hours. But this problem is every day--it's all the time, and it's been this terrible for months and months. Call and complain and they'll send somebody to the house, but the problem is not at my house, or my neighbor's house. It's somewhere in the area for sure though. Windstream DSL is the absolute worst. TERRIBLE.

I guess I must be very fortunate because the area we are in right off of 218 never loses internet. I have had it for awhile and do not recall ever losing it except for once when we had an extremely bad storm and even then it was only out less than 30 minutes.

I stay about a half mile this side of Wingate on Love Street right befoe it turn to Sycamore Grove. I gets pretty good internet most of the time but it do go our some. Tv is another story. I been having trouble with saving up shows to watch later. I had the repairman out and he done something to the dish. It made the picture better but it didn't fix the program saver. I will call him again.

They is a man in a apartment up in Wingate that gets TV ok, but has trouble with internet and his telephone he pay for don't work at all. Windstream might as well move in wit him they there so much but aint fix it yet.
