I am dismayed and upset that this has passed. I would expect that the individuals involved would offer some other form of hospitality other than the sale of alcohol. Take a look around you!! Be brave enough to establish this type of business from our people without this negative setback.
I come from a background affected by alcohol. From the early years of my childhood I've had to endure the results of its use upon families. I'm positive I'm not the sole victim nor the last. However, a positive change for our society has to begin at some point, why not now?!
To take pride in our existence as Dine' is to take responsibility for the way negative practices occur within our heritage. We should be changing our immediate environment for our future generations. I love my children and do not want them to suffer the effects that I have and many others as well.
Think about this situation and what it will do to your fellow member of the Navajo Nation, yourself, and most important of all your loved ones. DON'T BE IGNORANT OF THIS!!!!!!!!!!
