Good for HEMIC!! They deserve the judgement against them. How dare they let this women deal with the injustice after her daughter died. No more bailout money for the financial institutions and insurance company. How can they live with themselves denying this women what is entitled to her. It will never bring her daughter back, but at least justice was served in the end. Now everyone cancel your policies with this fraud of a company.

The judgment should be viewed as cause for HEMIC to be fined, surcharged, and audited by the State Insurance Commissioner. . .

Blah blah blah! Hemic u suck. I too was injured on the job and my claim was refused. I didn't have an attorney represent me and I suffered and I am still suffering. Eventually I let it go which is what they want people to do because they are so greedy. It makes me sick to my stomach. I couldnt pay the doctors and physical therapists and felt very badly about it and eventually they just let it go. In the end everyone lost except for the insurance company. Isn't that always the case?

I have been dealing with hemic for almost 10 years and they have not paid any of my bills, I HAVE! It seems to me that they figure its cheaper to pay doctors to say what they want them to say and lawyers to drag things out in hopes people will give up. Sounds like some ponzi scheme to me.If you are protected in the work place, you better make sure your employer DOES NOT! have hemic.

If you are fighting an insurance company, you need a lawyer to do it. Otherwise you're wasting your time.

Get a different lawyer. A friend of mine has multiple lawsuits going at any given time, and NEVER loses. His take-home pay is 8K a month right now, and he doesn't pay taxes on hardly any of it. He's not smarter than these companies he's up against, he just knows which lawyers to hire to beat their lawyers. He was a policeman for twenty-three years and got to know a lot of them. I couldn't do it, but he's proof that it can be done. What's cool about it is the lawsuits are not frivilous lawsuits either.

In 2006 I suffered a workplace injury. My L5 back MRI showed severe stenosis and 2 ruptured disc. The WC insurance company are pimps that hire harlot doctors that look for any excuses to deny your claim. Heres the problem they have lots of money to pay these SOB doctors to delay you while you suffer without any money to support yourself and family. The key is a experienced attorney that knows what to do. Without a attorney you just might as well giveup. Look for one that has many years of experience and make sure to double check his/her record.

Want to hear how bad these companies can be. I'll tell ya because my friend has an agreement to keep quiet, but i don't. Heseko, the huge Japanese constrution company that's building the marina in Ewa Beach, lost hundreds of thousands of dollars over a decade or more, fighting a small claim over an incident started over a $50, 12-volt car battery that wasn't even theirs to begin with, I shyt you not. All's Haseko did was make some lawyers rich. They're such a huge company that they don't even know what goes on in their legal department. Eventually a couple of local mid-level people were fired over this, but no big shots even heard a whimper. I think their arrogance and stupidity may have cost them well over a million dollars total, but it's a drop in the bucket to them. Remember, this was over a friggin car battery.

HEMIC is not good for us. We need to get everyone to know how bad they are.We need to get all the people who have been hurt and not helped to post it. We need to know where to post it and how.We need to go what they call vieral? Get everyone to post it everywhere we can. Lets not be silent and have others hurt!

Do you know who the insurance commissioner is? The same democrat senator that was caught with his hand in the till years earlier. The same bum that ran the fisheries agency at the same time his own commercial boats were raping the ocean. You can't get rid of these slimy democrats, they always re-surface.
