Yes I can because word on the street is that he was hired to kill Mr. Gonzalez. This robbery went bad is just to try to get lesser charges because then it wouldn't be pre-meditated murder. Only problem is they found the 410 shot gun at his house with blood splatter and he was hiding at his mom's house in the closet. I hope those police in Mason county are not buying that story because any sane person can read through the bs. the town is even saying that chad couldn't afford to pay him all at once so the payment plan was supposed to be $500 a month until the debt was cleared. One more thing if the newspaper is correct that they reconvened at chad's house, then ashley his wife/ex-wife who is also the mother of the deceased would also be at the house, which would make her involved in the murder and would also be an accomplice. Very interesting I know it's only a matter of time before she is arrested.

No I couldn't believe it. I went to school and graduated with him. He was always smiling and laughing in school. I even seen him a while back in speedway and he acted the same as he always did.

Exactly! Steven was always so polite in high school. He was the "yes ma'am/sir, no ma'am/sir type, always very polite with never a mean bone in his body. I just saw him in May while I was walking to an interview for work.
He pulled over and got out of his truck and gave me a great big hug and said "I told my mom that was you!" He offered to drive me to my interview and even wait on me to get done so he could drive me back. I have known Steven since kindergarten and we've always been good friends all throughout school. To find out that he took someone's life is overly shocking to me.
My opinion is he got mixed with the wrong crowd, and I'm pretty sure he was on drugs as well, because he was A LOT smaller than the last time I saw him before that in 2007.

Drugs make u do crazy things. Things u would never in million years for no amount of money. When your hooked to that crap u will do anything to get the drug or cash to get it. Very sad tht people end up that way but u know how come they can't see wht we see. I look around n see drug addicts everywhere anymore n I will do anything to stay away from them and the drugs. But some people see it and they go on and do it then they are hooked. Knowing what it's gonna do to u. Almost everybody has a drug addict friend or someone they know and have seen them go down hill over drugs. Y do people not use that as a learning opportunity?

Some people do see and learn, sounds like you did. I have, I know other people that wouldn't... But some people start so young that they domt see it, some people think they can handle "every once in a while", some people are to hurt by something in their lives to care, and some are just flat out stupid... either way it's a shock, I don't know Stephen, I know someone else that was mentioned and I can't see this, I wouldn't have ever been and probably still won't be scared of this person as if he's evil... All we can do is pray for them and be kind to them, I think it's wrong to look down on people on drugs or treat them bad, think of all the bad decisions everyone makes, theirs just led to them being addicted and under the control of a substance, they aren't lesser human beings. my hope is that there at least a few that find their way out and get over their problems and then maybe they can help others do the same

Yes u are very right. I know someone on a very personal level that I have watched for many years fall harder n harder on illegal substances. And I feel no threat by them what so ever. It's the ones they hang with that scare me. I do believe they need and help. N turning our back or judging them doesn't make it easier for them to come clean. Makes it worse at times. But I do get worried of some are capable of. It's not the people that should b hated. It's the drug. Because most people are not them self when on it. And I have never hated anyone. If it is one thing I'm gifted for is not holding grudges. I've been mad enough and hurt enough too but I forgive easily. In some instances it's been harder too but as far as actually hating an individual I don't anybody. There are people that drive me nuts to the point of wanting to punch them then look at them. But I don't. Lol N i still wish them well and the best. I believe everyone deserves happiness and I believe everyone needs a second chance. I know the good Lord has given me plenty of extra chances. And I am very thankful that he loves us so much
And we should try out hardest to love others as we are loved. I know easier said then done. Nobody is perfect and they shouldnt try to be. But I do hope they try to help them self as well as gettin help.:)

Yeah I'd say your right about getting mixed up in the wrong crowd. I hate that for steven.

I went to school with Steven and he was a nice person back then. But ppl grow up n change n he may have been on drugs Idk and if he was drugs will make u do crazy things it sucks that he chose not to get help or no one cared enough to get him help. However I knew Rene too, and ppl can talk all they want bout him but did u know him NO u r going on hear say. Just bc the news broadcasted that he was a known dealer ok so what. Ppl change do u know for a fact that he was still involved in that stuff or if he was maybe he was trying to get completely out of it. When u r involved in things like that u have to take ur time bout getting out of it so it doesn't end up effecting ur family. Rene was a great dad he wanted to better his life for his little girl n was trying hard to do so. Regardless he didn't deserve to die like that and let's remember his daughter is without her father that she loved very much and he did no wrong in her eyes. Rene losing his life wasn't over drugs it was over jealousy bc from what I hear Rene n Ashley were trying trying to put their family back together and she was in the process of leaving chad for good Idk how true that is it was HEAT SAY but I know Rene loved his daughter more than anything and he luved Ashley bc she was the mother of his child. I hate that Steven got mixed up into this mess over promised drugs and money bc he was a good person in school may God be with all the families involved

I grew up with Steven and went to school with him. He was always loving and protective of me and all his friends. But I did notice a change in him after his father passed away and here of recent with the people he was running with. I don't want to believe he had anything to do with it but the facts state something different because the gun an bloody clothes where found at his mothers home in Eureka.
