Hopefully, it will get torn down as a way to send a message to property owners, be it people who live there or an irresponsible landlord, that this not acceptable and that it can cost you big time.

About damn time they started following the law by seizing property that was involved in the production of meth or any other illegal drugs!

They usually demolish any structure and the county resells it!

This will make slum lords think twice about renting to scumbags since they forfeit there property ... lol!

There Should Be A List Of KNOWN ARRESTED DRUG HEADS Available To All Property Owners That Rent Out Houses Apartments,Mobile Homes ETC.. Its A Shame That The Property Owner Has To Lose Their Land&Rental Property Because of A DRUG USER.Some Of These Landlords Are Older People Who Are Taken Advantage Of By These Low Lifes They Show Up With Kids In Tow Looking Like The Perfect Family Saying All The Right Things & Then They Start Up A MethLab or Sell Pills&Pot Right Out Of The Front Door.I Feel For The Property Owner In This Case & Its A REAL SHAME That They Are The 1st Ones Being Made An Example Of.My Understanding Is Point Pleasant Is A Drug Haven & Thats SO SAD It Use To Be A Nice Quiet Town With Hard Working People (Which I Know There Still Are)Neighbors Looking Out For Each Other & Pride In Saying You Were From There.

There are several reputable websites where a landlord can get a full criminal background check for $60-$100, but you're right, it would be more cost effective & simpler if they were in a registry like sex offenders.

You are right, that's exactly the message that needs to be sent out, let them know that it is unacceptable and WILL cost them! I hope this property is dozed to the ground just for the fact alone that children were involved, this all is allowed to happen to innocent children way too often! Also, landlords, check with your local courthouse or magistrate offices, arrest records are public records, give them potential renter names and know who you are renting to!

Before I got out of doing rentals, I also ask for 3 personal, non family references. Sometimes the people they list are very telling of their character. It's amazing how much you can learn just from who they list, lol.

I thought April owned the house. She bought it with insurance money from her dead husband's accident. She had a rough childhood just like Clinton they were raised together. Wonder if Clintons dad is the one that taught them how to make that meth . Hell, he made that shit too. Must be a family recipe. Clinton SR. Grew weed, made liquor. You name it he did it.

April didn't have a rough childhood and neither did Clinton, they got away with everything and never got thier asses busted like they should have! Now for old man Clinton yes he was a piece of work from word of mouth but he nor Janice raised those kids. Problem was and is Clinton got away with anything and everything and done no wrong, never got punsihed and thought he was untouchable. Get your fact straight before you post Janice, regardless of who you say you are!

I never said they rented. If you review my posts I was simply stating that all property owners, be they residents or landlords, should face the consequences of their actions. I do not know the people in question or their status as owner or renters. I was, in the absence of the specifics, acknowledging both possibilities.:-)

I'm glad April owned the house! I hope it is condemned and torn down even more so because now it would have a direct effect on the person/persons involved and/or condoning meth making! it's exactly what she deserves, and they should make her stand there and watch it being dozed down!

She doesn't have to have it tore down, she has to pay for a hazmat team to come in a professionally clean it and she can continue to live there afterwards. Or she can have it tore down but from what I know they are gonna clean it out and move back in! This town won't ever clean up the drug heads they will remain after all other ones have left this shit hole town!

Not to mention, in some cases, when a person is busted on drug charges they can sieze all property and assets in accused person's name (bank accts., material property, etc.) until the matter is settled and if she is found guilty, the law can keep and dispose of them following legal guidelines. So if they take it all, there may be no money to clean it up, unless someone else pays the tab for it.
