So sorry , but sometimes the truth hurts! Not trying to be rude, but the facts are the facts. And instead of whining about what they are getting paid, they should be glad that they have a job. I know several people that have degrees, and worked there for over 20 years yet they have been let go while others have been there less than 5 , have a horrible attitude, and miss work, yet they are still there. So sorry if i hurt your feelings but this sweet pea is being very sweet considering what others are saying.

So sad of all the lives that have been wreck by miss mangement ... Sweat the tittle stuff and let the big stuff go for to long ..the bottom line patient will suffer while doctor pockets get larger ...community will lose there hospital ...my heart goes out for all staff members ... The axe will continue to fall...sad part administration will turn it all around on the employees as it there fault .., I think a new CEO with a degree with what the heck going on in health care may be a good start...going to miss you all... Let go with no hope of a job and a family to surport and bills to pay and hopefully a way to keep my home ... ....

Shows how smart you are! That's not what they were saying. What they actually meant was ; they take their dog there to crap! I can't stand a know it all.
Actually, unless it was you making the poor grammatical statement, you don't know what they meant. Correct? Did I hurt your feelings? P.S. I am a know it all!:) Have a good night!

Questions: 1. does administration need 4 secretaries? 2. are they getting rid of all the people that took the early retirement and then let them continue to work making the same money or more?? 3. Is Dr Tzuk worth over 7 hundred thousand dollars a year with the screw ups he has done? 4. Is Dr Agrawl worth the thousands he makes? 5. Is it necessary to have Tom, Bill, Mr. Hogan all administration and do they still have Patrick there trying to teach Tom how to be a CEO? what a waste.

What is going on at PVH is something that is also affecting most other healthcare facilities around the nation. When you get a patient that comes in and say the Hospital spends $100,000 in taking care of said patient. Then you submit the bill to Medicare or Medicaid you are lucky to be reimbursed for 25% of that cost. You the Healthcare facility ethically have to do what is best for the patient. Medicare and Medicaid can then send the healthcare facility reviews trying to take back the money they had paid for the patients care. When the bulk of your patients are Medicare, Medicaid & Self Pay what do you think is going to happen at a facility? You can't contiously keep spending out all that money on patient's care to only be reimbursed 10-25% and at times nothing at all. The facilities use reimbursements to help cover the cost of payroll and other costs involved in running the facility. This has been going on for years!!!!

From what I read & hear, when not laying off, they OFFER voluntary lay-offs. Still hate to hear it tho.

First, I am not your friend. ICU nurses? Really? How many of them work at PVH? Do you know? I'll give you a hint: LESS than 5. So even if they "made good money" laying them off wouldn't make any real difference for the hospital's financial problems. I bet you're stupid enough to think getting rid of an ICU nurse is a good idea so that you can keep a couple cafeteria workers. If you think any nurse at PVH makes good money then you are ignorant of what good money really is. If you think a nurse's salary is good money then you must live on the bottom rung of America's pay scale. Sorry you make such shitty money perhaps you should get off your ass and improve your situation instead of being jealous of a nurse's paycheck. BTW, Every post you put on here makes you look like a idiotic jackass but please, keep posting your stupidity on here. It's good for a laugh.

I am really sad to hear that ANYONE that needs their job may be losing it. I for one can tell you some sure facts about what is wrong with PVH.#1. Dr.Simon as chief of staff, what a joke. She give a nurse orders for a certain patient and can't even remember a few minutes later what she has told you.#2 They keep around ignorant doctors and pay them high dollars.#3 They advertise being 29% above the national average, if anyone knows math, that is not that great #4 If you're aren't part of the pretty ladies running around at pvh you are no one. That's who all the department manager nurses are.#5 Get rid of some high rollers at PVNRC, CEO (what a joke), Bill Barker, come one Board Members, these people have shown they can't pull PVH through. It's time to move forward.#6 Dr.Rerych, what a lame giant asshole, I wouldn't let him cut a leach off of me if it were sucking my last drop of blood. Yes,$20 an hour may be high dollar to some and it's not bad money, but pvh does pay their LPN's at PVNRC about 2 dollars more then minimum wage and their RN's a few dollars less then anywhere else. The job cuts should be solely based on performance. Did we really need a CFO? Ha, what money is there to manage?

Laying off all of these poor employees, hardly any patients in the hospital to speak of, a skeleton crew works their butts off--yet it seems that building, renovating, etc. onto PVH never stops. You can bet that the big wheels over the hospital are making a VERY nice living. This, folks, is obamacare at its finest. And things are going to get much, much worse. Wait till it kicks in full force! This is what the low-info voters wanted, and they are getting it. When will people wise up and see that obama wants to destroy America as we once knew it? Prices are going up, paychecks are going down, taxes are increasing, insurance premiums are rising, the national debt is over 17 TRILLION dollars--and the government continues to print money that is not backed by anything, which of course lowers the worth of the dollar even more. obama gives billions of dollars to countries that hate us. If we don't get this monster out of the White House, America is doomed!

Obama care. Really??? PVH problems began long before Obama became President. These problems began with Tom Scahauer being extremely ineffective as CEO! So much that he couldn't do that job well and couldn't manage his employees in the bus office. It took a consultant group and direct orders from the board to uncover that mess. That is how the bus office leaders were canned. NOT because Schauer can make a decision in his own. HE CAN'T. Fast forward to the last year and how many groups have been hired to make recommendations to the board in staffing, simply because Scaheur can't do it.
This man has no compassion and is inconsiderate. He repeatedly tells staff about his $88/hr salary and then complains that staff members are conserved about losing jobs and health insurance.
I say......" Tom Schauer's gotta go"!!!!!!! Who is with me??????

When the cutbacks were announced, forty employees volunteered to accept the severance package and be laid off. The remaining thirty five are the actual layoffs. All seventyfive will recieve the severance package and can be called back as openings occur without having to pay back the severance. That being said, only thirty five are among the forced layoff. The closing of the Sporn plant will have more of an impact than PVH layoff, but really people would rather talk sh!t about PVH.

A lot of those "voluntary" layoffs were bc they were bullied in to to. I don't think it should be taken lightly bc of the number of people being laid off! Each family will suffer individually bc of this!! I feel for anyone being laid off. This post is in regards to the Pvh layoffs, if you would like to talk about something different then start a topic about it!!! Don't you get on here saying that it's ONLY 35 people, those 35 people will be impacted greatly as will the rest of them!!!

Most of the "voluntary layoffs" were pushed into taking it because try told them they were getting it anyways so it's "int their best interest" to go ahead and sign it!! So don't tell me those people didn't want to keep their job

I know more than a few-- I'm not saying all- of those " it's in your best interest" people were lazy bad attitude "workers" with lots of patients complaints. I will be nice enough NOT to mention their names, but they should have been eliminated a LONG LONG time ago. I WILL say they all worked on south 1.
