Romney, GOP Groups Pull Ads From Michigan and Pennsylvania

The Romney campaign and conservative groups like Crossroads GPS have pulled TV ads in Michigan, Romney’s home state, according to the Detroit News.

Nor are the campaign and super PACs running advertising in Pennsylvania, after unleashing a barrage there over the past five months.

The PollTracker Averages show President Obama ahead 48.9 percent to 45.4 percent in Michigan, and in Pennsylvania, where he leads 49.9 percent to 41.4 percent.

It's a huge embarrassment when you cant win your state in which you were Governor in( Mass ) and if you cant win the state in which you were born in ( Michigan),you might as well wave the white flag.

Barack Obama’s election as president was brought about by a confluence of three normally separate groups of people.

Soros and the internationalists, who are often seen promoting the United Nations and the European Union as the only proper vehicles for national governance.

That is, the internationalists make the rules, and the member “states” figure out how to live within them.

Wall Street thieves, who knew a corrupt Chicago politician would play ball and bail them out of their bad bets.

Hitler's Speech at the Berlin Sports Palace

(January 30, 1941)

My German countrymen, men and women,(long pause) Changes of Government have occurred frequently in history, and in the history of our people.

It is certain, however, that never was a change of Government attended with such far-reaching results as that eight years ago.

At that time the situation of the Reich was desperate.

We were called upon to take over the leadership of the nation at a moment when it did not seem to develop towards a great rise.

We were given power in circumstances of the greatest conceivable pressure, the pressure of the knowledge that, by itself, everything was lost, and that, in the eyes of the noblest minds, this represented a last attempt, while in the eyes of evil-wishers it should condemn the National-Socialist Movement to final failure.

What's behind Romney's decision to pull ads from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania
If you assume that President Obama and Romney will each carry those states where they have lead every poll for months and where FiveThirtyEight gives one side or the other a better than 80% chance of a win, the states that are no longer close enough to be fairly considered "swing states" give President Obama a 66 Electoral College vote advantage:

257 - President Obama
191 - Romney
90 - true swing states

Of these 6 swing states, President Obama leads 5 and Romney leads 1:

Ohio (19 electoral votes - President Obama has lead the polling average for over a year without interruption)
Virginia (13 electoral votes - President Obama has lead the polling average since Jan 31 without interruption)
Colorado (9 electoral votes - President Obama has lead the polling average for over year without interruption)
Iowa (6 electoral votes - President Obama has lead the polling average for over a year without interruption)
Florida (29 electoral votes - President Obama has lead since Romney chose Medicare-killer Ryan as his running mate)
North Carolina (15 electoral votes - Romney has lead the polling average since May 16)

To win, President Obama can:

1. Win Ohio (no matter what the outcome in the other 5 swing states) or
2. Win Virgina (no matter what the outcome in the other 5 swing states) or
3. Win Florida (no matter what the outcome in the other 5 swing states) or
4. Win North Carolina (no matter what the outcome in the other 5 swing states) or
5. Win Colorado and Iowa (no matter what the outcome in the other 4 swing states).

This is no cause for overconfidence: This is just a snapshot of the race based on polling after the RNC but before the DNC (which should be Romney's high-water mark but which cannot be taken for granted).

Given the hundreds of millions (billions?) at Romney's disposal, the decision to focus on just a few states foretells of previously unimaginable expense directed toward unparallelled nastiness and shameless efforts at vote theft concentrated in these few swing states because Romney either has to virtually sweep them in order to win or he has to fundamentally change the portions of the current map which have been settled for over a year.

Romney is giving up PA and MI. A full month earlier than McCain gave up on MI.

Any rightwinger care to lay out Romney's path to victory WITHOUT Pennsylvania and Michigan? How does he realistically get to 270 without those 36 electoral votes?

Anyone?

Anyone?

Of course not.

I just finished listening to President Obama's DNC speech.

It was liberally peppered with platitudes and doused in demagoguery.

President Obama insisted he never said things wouldn't be "quick and easy".

But then what of the Obama who said he would cut the deficit in half?

President Obama said that "education was the gateway to opportunity for me." But just don't ask him to release his college transcripts.

President Obama sung the praises of solar on the anniversary of Solyndra's bankruptcy.

President Obama pat himself on the back for ending the War in Iraq. Well, that would not have been possible if not for President Bush's troop surge which Obama bitterly opposed.

President Obama said he had blunted the Taliban's momentum in Afghanistan but doesn't mention he wants them at the negotiating table.

President Obama said he had strengthened old alliances. The people of Britain, Israel and Poland would see things differently.

President Obama had the chutzpah to say that Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan "were new to foreign policy." He went on to say that Romney "couldn't visit the Olympics without insulting our closest ally." This from the man who angered Brits when he returned the bust of Winston Churchill and referring to the Falkland Islands as The Maldives (while meaning to call it Malvinas).

President Obama says he's "mindful of his own failures" but refuses to accept responsibility and is content to blame President Bush for his shortcomings.

President Obama says, "The path we offer may be harder, but it leads to a better place." But how much more debt will this country have to accumulate before we reach that better place?
In 2008, Senator Obama spoke of hope and change. In 2012, President

Obama gave us the hope-a-dope.

THOMAS OLIPHANT

I watched Kerry throw his war decorations

By Thomas Oliphant | April 27, 2004

WASHINGTON
ON THE WAY to the fence where he threw some of his military decorations 33 years ago, I was 4 or 5 feet behind John Kerry.

At the spot where the men were symbolically letting go of their participation in the war, the authorities had erected a wood and wire fence that prevented them from getting close to the front of the US Capitol, and Kerry paused for several seconds.

We had been talking for days -- about the war, politics, the veterans' demonstration -- but I could tell Kerry was upset to the point of anguish, and I decided to leave him be; his head was down as he approached the fence quietly.

In a voice I doubt I would have heard had I not been so close to him, Kerry said, as I recall vividly, "There is no violent reason for this; I'm doing this for peace and justice and to try to help this country wake up once and for all."

With that, he didn't really throw his handful toward the statue of John Marshall, America's first chief justice.

Nor did he drop the decorations.

He sort of lobbed them, and then walked off the stage.

John Kerry

Current estimated net worth:$240 million

In 2004, Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts won the Democratic nomination for the presidency, going head-to-head against President George W. Bush.

Many people believed that his military record qualified him to preside over a country that was still very much in shock from the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

I'm a Republican and until Mr. Corbett gets out in front of his role in the Penn State University tragedy I will not vote for him. He made some very strange decisions when he was Pennsylvania Attorney General. He is part of the reason why this turned out the way it did, bad. Check this all out because there's plenty more. I have tried to call him but no chance at all and they just don't want to discuss this at all. Now as the governor and his comments after the liberals, political correctness media went on their feeding frenzy don't jive. One thing he did was removed officers from this investigation who were more qualified than the one he later put on the case later. There's more just go to any ood PSU web site. Please don't let him get away with throwing JOEPA under the bus. He is part of the board who did that and yet an officer who is familiar with this case stated on the radio that here is nothing else Joepa COULD DO WITHOUT JEOPARDIZING THE CASE! I know that was loud but I don't like when people who are jealous of qualities others possess and then when they get their chance stab them in the back. Corbett knows that Frees report doesn't equal the summary that was put out prior too the actual report. Read everything and when your done ask yourself one question. Would I want one of my family members, friend or just any good man to be condemned by this very, very, very stretched so thin report? What woud you do? Pray for the Paterno's. Remember all of his grandchildren just think what their going through in school, nobody would wish that on their enemy! Again a rush to judgment by our liberal, political correctness media, they're so mean and hate righteous persons. Alabama stopped a trial over a tree because of the media frenzy? Good bye Joepa we will miss you!

Obama 2012 is off on his projections on those swing states. Why? What media were you watching? MSNBC, NBC, CBS, CNN or MAYBE ABC? It doesn't matter they all lie and cheat the public! Why did Axlerod call Gallop when they reported their polls? When Gallop refused the meeting at the White House and asked if they could instead meet at their own Washington D C office Obama and his cronies joined in on a whistle blower case against Gallop. Chicago politics. We know they don't like whistle blower case hence "fast and furious" and others that are now coming forward.
