Get those busts in while you can! DEA has been ordered by the Obama Administration to halt operations in states where medical marijuana is legal.

Once PA goes the way of the growing number of states that legalized medical marijuana, you betcha that smokin' herb is gonna be as common as smoking tobacco. Plus, the taxes will probably be less.

This was a six-month investigation. Like most criminals, these two no doubt suffered from what I like to call "terminal stupidity".

Legalize it NOW. Prohibition of marijuana is the most ridiculous use of the legal system ever conceived.

First - no one DOESN'T smoke marijuana becuase it is illegal - just as people continued to drink alcohol during prohibition.

Second - the criminalization of smoking marijuana creates a black market which artificially alters the natural forces of supply and demand - making it a fabulous source of wealth for those (such as highlighted in this article) who will take the risk.

Third - this artificial wealth created by the black market also creates a gangster class ready to dominate and protect its territory - not at all unlike Al Capone and the notorious gangsters of prohibition.

Fourth - our jails are full of non-violent drug offenders who add a tremendous tax burden to our society.

Fifth - the "opportunity cost" of not harnessing and collecting the tax revenue from this activity is incalculable. Such tax revenues could be used for treatment and education.

Why is our Society so backward about this? Legalize pot and see a host of problems disappear overnight.

Ah, Spring in the Poconos when the plants all bloom.

It's about time to start busting these hicks and seizing their stash. That way all their friends around the hills might get motivated to do some real work for a change.

14 states have legalized it for medical use, california is going to tax it and sell it for revenue, scientists found recently it fights brain cancer cells, and aids as a pain killer for those with arthritis, alcohol kills thousands every year and its legal, now we spend our tax money to persecute a small family for possesion of pot? great that helps us all! what a WASTE of innocent lives for the sake of stubborn unfair laws created by greedy politics, and foolish lawmakers. This will surely help our present situation in America? WOW!

If they were stupid enough to have it growing all over the house, especially the child's room, then I have no doubts that they could get caught by their own stupidity, that's all.
