Is anything really going to happen here? Or is it all hype?

recent news:

Doug Andersen, Hoku's director of communications, says construction will go forward despite an announcement that its financing deal with Merrill Lynch had ended.

I don't know. Moving dirt is one thing. Building on it is another. We'll believe it when we see it I guess. Several other businesses in town are closing, so if this bombs things don't look good for Pocatello.

Recent announcement of $54million to be generated through equity offering is much less that the $110million mentioned in the article. Does anyone know the reason for the change? Could be better for current share holders if debt is being arranged for the difference. Any more evidence of continued construction or progress?

Dustin Shindo, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Hoku Scientific is indicating that the plant will be production ready by first half of 2009!

Has anyone in the Pocatello area driven by the site recently?

Are there any updates on constuction progress? With the perceived crisis in the financial markets, I am hoping that construction continues.

I was in Pocatello this last Monday to check out the site. Construction is proceeding but not what I would call Balls to the Walls activity. Check the website hokuscientific.com/timeline.html You will see every building I saw.

Is Hoku doing any hiring for this plant ? Where would they post any positions that they are hiring for ?

Is anyone else pissed that they are going to DELAY construction on The Pocatello plant? I say we start a boycott. HOKU needs to know that they can just stop work for 3 to 6 months what do they expect us to do for income while they halt the construction? Bills need to get paid, kids to feed, clothes to buy. DO THEY EVEN CARE ABOUT THE 500 PLUS CONSTRUCTION WORKERS?
