Pocatello looks to acquire land for pathway
Officials in the southeast Idaho city of Pocatello are considering using eminent domain to acquire easements to complete a 23-mile trail system called the Greenway that has been languishing for years.

I think that they should do it. After being in Boise for a while and having enjoyed there green belt so much, I think this is exactly what poky needs.

Amazing how past councils have failed to do there job and now are thinking of using eminent domain. Just buy the land needed for 200% of market value.

Does the city or county pay for maint. on the levee?
If so wouldn't they have control over who has access along the top of the levee? I would think that the levee would be public property with the county maintaining it for safety of all the citizens to prevent flooding.
