i guess his daughter finally got what she wanted..
she took him out of his home, away from his dog. didnt tell him or anyone else where she was taking him, then put him into a nursing home..... he probably grieved himself to death..
hope she's happy..

Before anyone gets on here talking trash about him I want to say something. When I was growing up Charlie took care of my family to make sure we did not go without anything.Whether it was rent money, groceries or new school clothes Charlie made sure we were taken care of. I don`t know if it was thru something legitimate or not and to be honest I really don`t care. I made my peace with that years ago and moved on. All I know is that he was like my 2nd dad and treated my family as his own. R.I.P. Charlie....you were loved and will be greatly missed.

He had Alzhemeir's and traumatic brain injury...His dog was with him each week.. He was not in a nursing home but an Alzhemier's facility where he could receive the care he needed for the disease..Undoubtedly you were ill informed.. those who were important to him KNEW where he was...Just wanted you to have your facts straight... His dog is sitting by me now..

An Alzhiemers facilty? Where I come from if your mom or dad or any family member or friend was stricken with that disease you took care of them. In your home or theirs...in familiar surroundings with people that loved them. I`ve taken care of patients in all stages of the disease and watched them die. The one comfort I had was knowing that their families knew their loved one was taken care of and the one comfort the family had was knowing they did everything they could to keep and take care of their family. Nursing homes and " facilities" should only be used when patients require constant and continual monitoring from doctors and nurses.

Evidently you are more interested in the money that you could make from the family than the care...Anyone with common sence would know that they are better off in a facility where they can get constant qualified care from professional staff. Which is what i feel that Mr Gilmore had. And either way Its none of anyones business what Lynn did...she has to answer to none of you all and to post this at a time when she has lost her last living parent is cruel. This is a time for her to grieve and she needs words of comfort not this mess. Shame on you

I am thinking anyone in Pocahontas knows where this criticism is coming from. She runs her mouth enough, and when Charlie left she had plenty to say about it to her customers. Lynn, you did what was right. It is sad that Charlie is gone. He made some mistakes in life. He paid for those mistakes and along the way helped many, many people. Upon his return he was very active in the methodist church and didn't miss a Sunday there. Let this family alone and allow them to grieve.

What do you mean she had a lot to say to her customers? You really really need to clarify who you are talking about

I do believe Mr. Gilmore was charged with crimes associated with the murder and tried in federal court. I also believe he was found not guilty on all charges. However, rumors abound!

And once again the criminial justice system prevails. Also, he was charged in federal court on drug kingpinning charges.... he was only questioned NOT CHARGED FOR THOSE MURDERS OR ANYTHING RELATED TO THOSE CHARGES.
