Did subteach not hire you?? All of the subs that were there last year are hired thru them....So why would you say that?? Just sounds like another ignorant statement made by someone that knows nothing about what they are speaking about.

Is this company listed with the State of Arkansas Secretary of State as a business?

It's a good thing. They are professional. It's simpiler for the school district. What's the problem?

I don't think it's the most fair process and I'm at the other end of it. I can chose who's going to sub for me and if she or he isn't already scheduled to work that day they're the person who will be called. There are a lot of very good subs who may get fewer hours because they haven't won a popularity contest.

Not so... If you are a good sub, you will be requested by the teachers. If the kids love you because you let them eat in class, play with their phones and are in their words "cool" you will not be requested. I know who does a good job and who doesn't. If you make the kids work on the assignment, follow the rules and require the kids to behave you are a good sub. Those who let them break the rules and act like apes are not good.

I agree that subs who lack responsibility or allow the children to act like apes are not good. On the other hand, I know there will always be two or three well-known subs who will usually be called because they have more experience and are more popular among teachers. This allows little work for other hard-working, responsible individuals who are waiting in line.

What are these guys credentials who run SubTeach USA? Who is it's board and president/CEO? I only know them as a private entity and are only contracted. Are their fees covered by FOI if my child is in the district since the school board is hiring them to provide a service using my tax dollars.

Yep! Who are these guys? Ceo/President? Or is there just a head administrator? I'm not getting half the calls I did before they took over--and I am a good sub.

I could really use a part-time job. How do you go about applying.
