Anybody know why the firemen do not know the locations of fire hydrants in Pocahontas ? Why don't they have a master list of the exact locations. They have been looking for them near 2105 Hospital for several minutes. Builds confidence in the local department.

Duh, guess that answered my question about their ability and lack of knowledge of placement of fire hydrants. good thing they know where some of the fire trucks are parked..

Seems to me they were only looking for hydrant n case the water in truck ran out. They were already fighting the fire. U ppl need to get it head outta ur ass and b more concerned that someone's apartment was burnt. The ppl living there lost everything. Ppl like u don't care what u bitch about just to make a point about something. U need to b more worried that some family lost their place to live and their belongings.

Well I hope they are doing an annual inspection on them? it is a requirement.

It would not take much for them to prepare a master list of locations of all the hydrants in Pocahontas. That was the point of the original message. They should not have to go looking for hydrants while the fire is ongoing..This isn't the old Pocahontas fire Dept and they can be a little more progressive . This is the computer age. Don't ask me to do their job and prepare the computer program.

You would think you would have to know the location in order to check them.

Actually, it's not the job of the fire department to inspect the hydrants in Pocahontas; the water department does it.

If Eddie Rose was in charge wouldn't have these issues

Eddie is a firefighter has been for years. Why hasn't he already done it. You don't have to be in charge to do stuff to help the fire department or community. Shoots your theory about Eddie doesn't it.

Reading your statement, we know who you "be" too. A high school drop out, before you post anything else, take an English & spelling class. 4th grade might have an opening, you can set in with them.
