hollow deceiving bad "win" for them and they and council know it. hope it wears on their consciences when people look at them with contempt.
sort of sad that innocent promed will be disliked by so many because of the council actions.

the majority of voters will eventually have their say to the council.
meanwhile, this council should hang their heads and expect little support from voters for their proposals and future actions.

if true - the erc and council will just laugh at us instead of wondering and finding out where the 3 trucks and/or the backup was.
their franchise is useless if it's not monitored and enforced.
let's hear it for the council! way to go guys!!!

haha said it right there will be days when 15 trucks couldn't cover the county, but he needs to add the council expected medic one to do it which they couldn't just like promed can't, so see there is NO difference in the coverage, only who provides the services and they got to pick and get their way on that.
i will report as best i can when promed has to ask for help

That is false I have a radio and I heard when they paged then out to the time they were 97 (on scene) it was not no hour so your statement is false they were there trying to get a helicopter to fly the boy out but due to weather no one would fly they were there in approximate 4-5 mins which is anyone's average response time it was not an hour as you claim

I have a radio to and you are outrageous , it was over 45 minutes before they got there and another 10 plus minutes before they left . It doesn't matter with company it was it just proves that service isn't that good.
It would be better to have 2 or 3 companies able to serve this area.

Hmm, who would have thought the anti- pro-med people would resort to lies! Oh that is right. That has been there tactic all along. According to 911 the response took less than 5 minutes. Isn't it amazing how the facts contradict your bill shit!?!?

Great point! That was one of the councilmen saying in the meeting. To share the ambulance franchise to have more ambulances as well for the county . Wouldn't have to depend on other counties ambulance services. Anyway, i look at it what is done is done. I have nothing bad to say about Medic One employees because, a lot of them went to ProMed same people but, different ambulance service. Like I said, what is done is done. I am very proud in our young ambulance people!

You are exactly right I knw my radio is not broken and I even went up to dispatch and asked it took less then 5 mins for them to get their maybe they need to see how long it took somebody to call 911 maybe they need to be investigating the school to see while it took so long for them to call 911 bc that's the only reason it took so long if whatever this so called teacher is saying is true and the records show it only took pro med 5 mins then it was the schools fault for waiting 45 mins to call

done, and done wrong, and against our vote.

we do NOT need a sole franchise that is allowed to USE other services for certain calls and then keeps the easy more profitable ones for themselves. council has enabled greed by giving 1 service a 5 yr contract.

we need a more professional county wide board making these decisions.

Agreed. Your comment about manipulating the call distribution based on profit criteria is right on the mark. And, how long do we expect other services to take the unprofitable calls? How long will it be before other services refuse to run Pocahontas & Randolph
County?
