Property values are declining in this area,the price of crop land will fall shortly,hill land is already in decline.

Yes last year farm land got a boost from peanuts,but i think its over now,out of state buyers were buying some hill land which gave it a boost,but i think it has cooled considerable.

Well that is to be expected,no job,no money,no building,to many ppl relocating you have to eat,and ,support your family,bank are not wanting to loan money as they were 3 or 4 years ago.

The county has put a value on some property for more than it is worth and a lot more than it will sell for. Banks have tightened up tighter than a Nuns monkey and the economy is really stalled out. The one thing that might keep row crop land prices up is big companies have bought up lots of the land and are drawing millions in farm subsidy money. If the farm subsidies get cut in the new budget then the bottom will fall out of land price.

yogibear i do agree with you, no jobs, nothing for kids rent water bills rates sure don't reflect pay checks in this town.

Its not just here there is property for sale all over n.Ark a lot of property for sale in the Mt.home area,many have opurchased this property with the idea that it will go up in value,but to the contrary it has peaked and now is on a down hill slide.

I dont want more than i have and thats not to much,but these people from out of state was buying property for more than it was wirth,i wish i could have gotten rid of mine 3 yrs.ago but it was financed in with property i need to keep and the cost of the transaction would have cut in my profit margin,i would probly have come out ahead,had i sold it then,but i dont have a christal ball but i should have been smarter.
