I didn't say that they were artistic or creative and if you ever go to one of the shows it becomes pretty obvious that they possess neither quality.

when you state the truth and the facts back it up that is not hate.
They can have all the fun they can get.

claa BS all you want......If you want to be in a show there, YOU have to pay for the acting classes, dance classes........there for if you want to act in one of the plays there, you have to pay to be in it one way or another, may have worded it somewhat wrong, but the fact is if you want to be in one of their " plays" you have to pay to do it, so call whatever you want. Did not hate on anyone just would rather not waste my money on something that I don't enjoy, didn't say others didn't, I just don't enjoy it there, so I don't go

<quoted text>I don't go, just stated my opinion, if others want to blow their money on it, more power to them, I just am not going to blow mine on it, got better things to use my money for, like a good movie from the video store, alot cheaper, good homecooked meal, in the comfort of my own home, 24.00 for dinner & a show there, 3.00 for a movie, maybe 5.00 on dinner ( depends on whats cooking) whole lot cheaper, whole lot better.:) yes they did get a grant, YOU have to pay to be in a show.....

someone is giving false info then, cause I was told you have to pay for the classes, doesn't matter.......just my opinion & everyone has one.the money spent to build that waste of time, plus the money spent to fix it after the flood could have went to the needy, jobs, food bank etc. I read in the paper about the million dollar grant before it was built think the same now as I did then........this county is not & will not ever be a tourist attraction, theater or no, there is nothing here for the children, nothing to do.fast food, banks & churchs. There needs to be a place for addtics to get help, battered women....nope million dollars on a dinner theater.....go figure

You know other organizations can apply for grants right. You can't fault one group for having initiative to go after their goal. The theater was here long before any talks of tourism even began. All they have done is grown and expanded unlike a lot of other businesses in this town. It wasn't the cities decision to get a grant for the building and by the way most of the money that built it was raised from the private sector not government money. The community had no say because it is not a community owned business it is a business period.

A lot of your complaints are something that our city council should be hearing. Not the theater that for the most part built itself. They do offer some things for kids to do but they are privately owned and have bills to pay for operation so they charge for the classes taken. You know they charge fees for peewee football but I never have read any complaints about that. Shoot the high school band even has things parents have to pay for and they are part of the public school system. So why be upset that they charge at the theater. Believe me that theater would not be standing there if they had to rely on the city to fund it. They were proactive and had a goal and went after it. They provide mush better entertainment than other groups in the state at an amazingly lower price. They have a roster of performers from all over the area. They have had success because of pure will and determination.

As I do not attend peewee football or any other school program, as my children are all grown, I went to my granddaughters graduation, & will go to another one in May, I do not attend the Rock-N-Roll thing they have every year. I am a "love to be at home" person, I say it again, I would rather rent a movie, pop some popcorn at home, I do not enjoy the theater, If I applied for & received a million dollar grant, it would go on something to HELP people who have problems in their life & do not have the funds or are a little over the guide lines to get help, like drugs, drinking, abuseive homelife etc..........just my opinion,

LOL...I don't enjoy fishing either so I don't go, but it seems all are willing to get on topix & voice their opinion about something until a point is made, then its " I don't go onto a forum & complain" had plenty to say in previous post, but you are free to express your opinion just like anyone else, I don't think others are wrong to go to the theater if that is what they like to do. Just stated IF I received a million dollat grant it would go on improveing peoples lives, helping them to back on the right track if it was with in my power to do so. Yes, I said the theater was a waste of time, its is a waste of my time to to spend money on what is call entertainment if I don't enjoy it.....I'm done, bored with this debate, agree to disagree

I was surprised to hear they're letting J.R. Briggs be part of another show with all of those young girls there. I hope Andee has some common sense and changes her mind when she sees what his wife has on him.
