Some big problem with the sub-station. The power grid is in terrible shape here, however when they have the big (election-pig ,roast-hot dog give away) no one seems to say anything just vote for the same old dead beats and smile. Also no one says much when they go to Hawaii for meetings on the members dime. Fema kicked in a fortune to repair the lines, wonder where all that went? I did see several poles that had their numbers replaced but the pole is still the old one. It is also strange Ozark Border has the same kind of terrian and they seldon have an outage, and they are always clearing and replacing poles. Anyone remember the last time Dean Town was out of power?????

During the ice storm we were without power for 15 days and I asked them how we could be charged a "service" charge if we had not had any service. They refused to give a credit. Could have fought them with the Public Services Utility Commission and won but was just glad to get the power back.

POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT)- Entergy Arkansas is reporting power to more than 4,000 customers has been restored after a significant power outage in Northeast Arkansas.

The outage was due to a transmission line fault, according to Entergy Customer Service Manager David Burnette.

Transmission lines are the cross country lines originating from generating stations that deliver power at high voltages to area substations that feed towns.

The transmission outage affected approximately 4,760 customers in the towns of Corning, Peach Orchard, Knobel, Datto, Reyno, Biggers, Success, and Pocahontas.

Aerial patrols located and assessed the transmission problem.

Burnette says the damage to transmission pole was caused by a tractor hitting a guy wire and breaking the transmission pole.

If you suffered any damage because of this outage call the power company and get the name of the farmers insurance, it will pay for your loss.

what kind of losses did folks have?
doubt most had any loss in 4 hours if they kept the fridge and freezer closed.

chicken houses having to generate, and business shut down/profit loss will probably will eat up any insurance there may have been.

most stores and business probably still sold their items - just later in the day.
