"in court" more than likely the people in court were there because they broke the law. Respect the law and maybe the officers will treat you with respect.
Respecting the law will keep you out of court so you wont have to deal with officers.

You're assuming just because someone is "...in court..." they are the guilty party and "Respecting the law will keep you out of court..." This is untrue and BIASED. What about the law abiding victim that is in court and has dealt with the officers when they take a report? You also said, "Respect the law and maybe the officers will treat you with respect." The officers are paid by the people to >protect< and >serve< WITHOUT BIAS.(And serving includes gathering evidence) The validity of the evidence provides the proof of guilt or innocence and is determined by a judge OR your piers, NOT the officer. The mentality of "respecting the uniform" instead of "the law" is what's wrong with this damn town. This isn't Mayberry even tho we have several Fife's on the force and Opie running the show. The people need to educate themselves (or hire a good lawyer) concerning the law and the officers need to let the air out of their blown up badges and just go do the J-O-B that us tax paying citizens pay them to do WITHOUT BIAS! Period.
