That tranny is very hard to rebuilt and get it to stand up, probably be better off getting a used one.

Why would you get a used one? Since most have well over 100,000 milles and are worn out?
Also this is the same tranny that is in f150 trucks and all other midsize ford SUVs.
Going on line and reading comments from many different mechanics provide a better understanding of why these transmissions have been a problem.
O one says that they are diff1cult to rebuild and that by using new parts and eliminating the two problem areas seen in the Original equipment the Transmissions will stand up.
is Kenny OK

I have heard a lot of bad comments about Kenny's work and that his transmissions don't last.
He had a heart attack so did that affect his work?
Or is this just the typical trash talk you can expect from Poky.

Why would you get a used one? Like you said if a person puts "all" new parts in a rebuild they have a chance the tranny will hold up. The problem if if you put all new parts in plus the labor you are going to have a lot of money involved, just how much is an expolrer worth? To rebuild it right and put in all "new" parts you would have 1700 or better in it as apposed to installing a used one for around 700. It takes more than just installing banners and steels to rebuild this transmission if you want it to hold up.
