I was in court last week where one man got a heavy fine (deserved) for a DWI and another man got his DWI reduced and only had a smalll fine. Both men were guilty of DWI so why did this happen? BOTH were guilty. Way to go, BUG EYED JOE! You work hard to keep the drunks on the highway, don't you?

It is against the law to reduce a DWI. look up the law. IF they use the argument to charge for a lesser charge that is double jeopardy.
The judge and prosecutor should know this. Call MADD and the news media and let them investigate.
Alex Bigger for city attorney!

I know several people who have gotten several DWIs who have gotten a lawyer and had the charges reduced. This happens all the time. The drunks constantly drink and drive and have no offenses on their records.

In Randolph County, it is not what you do, but who you are. Needs to change.

WHEN ONE PERSON IS ABOVE THE LAW, WE CANNOT CLAIM TO BE A NATION OF LAWS. WE BECOME A NATION OF LAWLESS PEOPLE.

Someone needs to talk with Hawkins and ask him about the ticket he wrote for DWI. It was reduced. I was there and heard it. If the drunk has more pull than the trooper, something is very wrong.

This was your "good buddies" son. Maybe you need to look at your friends more closely.

I heard mamma came to his rescue AGAIN so all is well until the next drink. But lets not forget that he is the best thing that has ever happened in her life and she calls him perfect. Bless her sad heart.

Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd. Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whin'd. guest cries:—'tis time!'tis time! Round about the caldron go; In the poison'd entrails throw.— Toad, that under cold stone, Days and nights has thirty-one; Swelter'd venom sleeping got, Boil thou first in the cursed pot! Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
