the fire dept did a very bad job on that fire...listened to them on the scanner and all the did was a lot of talking/////such as let me know when you get the hose hook up 3 or 4 sec later have you got the hose hook up...let me know when you get the hose hook up...that happen 4 times..the guy coundnt hook it up cause the other guy would keep talking to him.....the only good thing about our fire dept i they can almost always save thr lot!!!!!!!!!!

and yes it is ashame that they lost everything

i dont understand how a home so close to the fire station could of not been saved at least some....doesnt say much about our fire department

If you had been there and saw how hot that fire was you would know those firemen did everything they possibly could to save that place. They even had injuries (minor) due to a backdraft - that backdraft was felt 2-3 blocks away. I think our firemen do a great job and I commend them for the work they do. You have to take into consideration how old this house was also - and they were doing everything they could to keep the house next door from catching on fire too - they are pretty close together. I, for one, commend them for what they did. I am very sorry the family lost everything they had - I donated 3 bags and a box of clothing to them and also about 4-5 bags of food to help them out - what have YOU done to help them out? Anything?? Thank God no one was hurt seriously and that is what matters more than anything else in the world.
