grider is a stinking turd and a two faced lying thief at best. google his name and you can see how me made up crap before the law license board where he argued he made false claims but thought the work was still done just in other areas. Is that not stupid? I guess lawyers can lie to the courts but when people lie in court they can get put in jail.
Public meetings with the mayor involved?yeah sure, just like the skateboard park he got mad and had torn down and the people have forgotten it. more lies, more bs from jokes the people have for so called leadership. wish they both would go home and stay there

Dont matter if we vote NO for water parks, they had a special election on our tax dollars, and we the people VOTED NO to Franschise on Ambulaance, and a within a month, city council and mayor, put it up, on bid, and we have a Franschise on Ambulance. They will do same on water park, so why spend money for special election.
No problem go VOTE

The council has all ways compared Pocahontas with bigger towns . But, on a penny isn't going to Hirt anyone but make this small town like Pocahontas a lot stronger! It's up to the people to make that decision not one person to be so sour in life. Everyone as to families and friends go VOTE! Make a Difference! Go VOTE! Vote for it or not! For me and my family we are voting YES! Thanks and God Bless All!

I will be voting yes. The youth in this town need a place like this and so does the older people. People travel out of town to go to parks like this everyday. Be nice to have a place right here.

A water park will benefit the rich kids in town, nobody else will be able to afford it,the city pool will be gone and the rich kids will have a water park, the other kids will be swimming in the creek. The only people who travel out of town to visit these attractions are the ones with money, the average families do not go anywhere. Joe Grider wants this freakin money pit because his spoiled kid wants it.

1/2 cent will pay off $7.5mil in about 10 yrs.
and the other 1/2 cent will be 6 to 700k per year forever for park maintenance.

both are way more than is needed = govt waste of YOUR money.

imo, it's way too much money to spend for the few hundred that will use it a few months a year.

we're not paragould or heber springs with 24000 people or a lake nearby with tourists that will visit.

it's your money that the city wants to spend on their big wet dream for a few hundred folks.

VOTE NO!

vote NO!!! the tax for the hospital was suppose to be for the hospital, yet word has it not all the money is going to the hospital. is this a rumor? is this true?
if they can do this with the hospital tax, then they can do the same with this tax idea for the water/pool complex. remember the skate board park and how it was destroyed we cant trust our mayor

begs the questions - who's counting the votes? paper or machine ballots? will the city council listen to the no voters this time?

council must stop dreaming so big.
this whole project and the 1/2 cent perpetual maintenance tax are way to high. millions and millions and millions of dollars -forever.

council should live within their and our means and use the existing hamburgler tax to remodel and fix what needs fixing for the few hundred users - not tax and tax and tax EVERYONE more and more and more.

What we NEED,is for the streets and parking lots in this hell hole to be fixed, and the abandoned houses to be torn down. We DO NOT need a water park, just a BIG waste of tax dollars.

YOU don't NEED it! YOU just WANT it! and you want everyone else to pay for your wants. it's a big wet dream and luxury item for YOU that you CAN live without.

since YOU WANT it, take your 1 cents, not mine, and get yourself your own pool. or be happy with fixing the current pool with our already "donated" money.

I and the vast majority have no use for this project and will never use it. we don't NEED or WANT it.

Have any of y'all ever been to the pool from mid summer to the end of summer? No one is there because the water is too hot. Average people do go out of town to visit other water places. And you can consider yourself lucky if u know of an uncrowded creek or river. I don't know the right way to vote but I do know this town needs to spend money on revamping our current pool (maybe cover it so the water would b cooler and add to it somehow) or build a new facility. Kids in this town would save their own money to go if it was fun. I think it would be full all summer.

We need factories!! More higher paying jobs, so we don't have to drive to jonesboro to get a decent paying job or paragould. Not a water park that is going to pay 8 dollars an hour.... Let some factories in here!!!! Make it a wet county and watch this place boom... Too too many bible thumpers running this place and then driving out if town to get their drunk on so no one knows...just get it on here it's closer.:)

piss on the water park idea. how stupid can this idea be? tax for the hospital, yet it is losing jobs, laying off people, and eventually going to close.
last thing for the kids was the skateboard park and it was torn down with lies told as to why and promises to build a new one by the mayor who needs to just resign. the east side flooded not once but twice in just a few years with lame excuses given why this happened. drive thru town and look at the run down houses and building who will come here for entertainment with the nasty looking places on the drive thru town
We need JOBS JOBS JOBS!
