Need it for what? The cost to get in will probably be too much for many of those living around here. Granted, I hated seeing all the kids being dropped off for basically babysitting by the lifeguards, but at least those kids were able to have some fun and cool off in the summer heat. Guess they can just set at home and be miserable if it gets built.

is swimming allowed in baltz lake?

would be nice if the city brought in some sand and made a small shallow beach for toddlers to wade, get some sun, etc. ditto down at the riverfront in a few spots when the river goes down.

seems it would be pretty simple and cheap to put splash spots in over at the ballfields, in city parks, and elsewhere. hook up to a hydrant and spray some water. buy a few cheap small shallow pools or let folks bring their own.

Ain't going to happen but you are free to try the Black river it should fit your needs. There hasn't been a great white shark spotted in the river for years.

$7.5mil would be enough for public access and nice parks on 11 pt, current, spring, fourche AND black river.

vote no twice.

vote is less than a month away, DON'T FORGET TO VOTE.

been waiting for the city to come out with a push, pr bs, letters, ads,and promises on it at last minute.

then again they may just try to quietly sneak it by and hope for their sheep voters and that the rest will forget about it.

hope it goes down and the council sees the light on repairs and something halfway reasonable out of existing taxes.
our small city, with very limited pool usage numbers, doesn't need the $7.5 mil tax burden and upkeep for this huge wet dream.
it is for the elite

Isn't the city attorney the main sponsor for this pool?
Is he the same guy who allegedly stole money from child support payments like Nick Wilson did?
Nick did the crime and did the time but did this guy get off without even paying back the $$ that was taken?
Or is this some other guy with a similar name and as the city Attorney he is really up standing and honest.
After all we all know that there never ever has been any corruption by officials in Randolph county.
vote no

no allegedly to it, he was on probation imo should have been disbarred we taxpayers pay for his elite service city county & state. I will vote no. anything he's for isn't going to be good for the people only his self don't forget the ziggs are pushing hard for this and they can't even vote for it.
what happen to the town hall meeting the mayor said they were going to have? yep I think it's keep it quite and hope for a low turn out because they have their voters and a low turn out benefits them. even our editor annita murphy isn't writing her spin in the local paper.
so get the word out polling June 11 vote no two times show these people we taxpayers are sick of their tax and spend.
