State Courts:$49.00
County Courts:$18.90
City Courts:$2.10
Law Enforcement Fee:$4.00
Jury Fee:$2.00
Highway Work Zone:$0.50 (??)
Auto Record Keeping Fee:$7.00
Document Storage Fee:$2.00
Infractional Judgments:$99.50 The fine!
Public Defense Administration Fee:$3.00
Judicial Insurance Adjustment:$1.00
Judicial Salaries Fee:$18.00: Do you think murderers and rapists pay this fee too?
DNA Sample Processing Fee:$2.00 Very common service for traffic tickets.
Court Administration Fee:$5.00

Total Cost Of Ticket:$214.00

That is an example of where the money goes after paying a simple traffic citation. Writing speeding tickets or other tickets to inforce the law does NOT contribute to the revenue of a town or state. What they do is run rackets in that town to support other people's income illegally within the justice system. They have been caught before and they will be caught again. Then the city will have to pay for their ignorance and in turn take revenue from the city instead of increasing it. There is no sense in a city of 7,000 employing 15-20 cops.

Drive around town at 70 miles an hour, firing guns out the window. That will scare the police away and they'll leave you alone, guaranteed.

are those fees the same for a "reckless city ordinance ticket" that the city uses to replace a speeding ticket so it alledgedly doesn't appear on you record?

have heard the city gets more money that way instead of sharing it with the state. have also heard the "city" ticket DOES appear on your record if it goes to court. coercion to pay and not fight a ticket in court? how much is the city making on those tickets?

why are tickets seldom written in accidents?
failure to yield, following to close, inattentive driving, etc.
when someone screws up, they should pay.
get money from them for the city for the time our pd spends working because of their stupidity.

thats where they are making the money and they dont have to share. wrote a ordinance go read the city ordiances and you will read this . when they give you this ticket the police officer will say giving you a break writing it this way so it wont go on your driving record when really its all about the money. smart on the city part. city going broke they will write more tickets easy way to help fund the ppd.

Have a wreck out in the county and see if the state boys don't write you a ticket. It won't be some county ordinance either. It will go on your record just like it should.

Law Enforcement is EXPENSE of government, NOT a subsidy of the government.
Law Enforcement officers are NOT tax and revenue Collectors....They are PEACE OFFICERS.

Someone wrote: " Then in came law enforcement and they said " Come with us, and it proves that your unstable if you fight or make a fuss". Protect and Serve is what each lawman swears that he will do, But enforceing laws you know are wrong protecs and serves just who??

Vote Mayor and City Council OUT!! Hire Constitutional elected officials whom still believe in the OATH of office. Law enforcement is very very important but city management and some Sheriffs are allowing FEDERAL intervention and allowing Federal gov. to manage our police affairs. Mayors and City Council are NOT putting principle before Politics. They are putting ARROGANCE ahead of Freedom. They are making our Peace Officers become Tax and Revenue collectors to fulfil debt. City of Poc. will go bankrupt. Its not too late to hire Constittional Mayors, Sheriffs and City managers. We have good Constitutional Law men and women waiting to protect and serve vs be PUPPETS TO THE LEGISLATURES!! VOTE THE BUMS OUT!!! TEA

You need to stop attacking our police officers. They are brave and hardworking people and deserve much better than that. Our police force has greatly improved since we have had a new police chief. Plus the city wrote less tickets in 2012 than 2011. They really are serving and protecting. Check your facts before you open your mouth.

Why don't you take your own advice. This post isn't about the system:

"Drive around town at 70 miles an hour, firing guns out the window. That will scare the police away and they'll leave you alone, guaranteed"

Do you still say that "no one has attacked the pd officers?".Next time spend more time working on your reading comprehension and less time being a smart ass.

I agree most police officers are hard working individuals. That is not the point. Why should a town of 7k people have so many cops? People feel more negatively towards the cops around their more so than they favor them. I live in a city with close to 100k and you may see 1 a day if your out and around there you see more like 5 everytime you go to walmart. If Pocahontas was the crime capitol of Arkansas, that might be necessary, but not with the amount of violence that is commited within that city each year.

How many police officers do you think Pocahontas has? There are never more than three patrolman at any one time. I hardly think that is excessive. And maybe Pocahontas isn't the crime capital because we do have adequate police protection. You don't even live here so it doesn't effect you.
