How many of you who constantly bitch about the rich and blame the Bushs have ever applied for a high paying good job. There aren't many unfilled good jobs here so you have to try elsewhere. You can't be a pothead. You can't have tattoos of your demons crawling up your neck and you have to show up every day sober and try hard to make something. You don't have to be a genius. Who would would live here and be stupid enough to even think anyone is going to pay you any money when ten ppl a day are wanting the every job in town,you cant be that stupid,why on earth would anyone believe that unless they have a degree,and then they would be stupid to live here when the same job will pay twice as much in other places,there are plenty of ppl living on mininum wages,no its no what one needs but it is happening,there are some that dont try to keep up with the other ppl,yes they live very close but it is being done.

Great point 'raise you'. Give everyone a pay cut and presto, no more unemployment? Less money circulating, less money to spend but more money for the wealthy equals more jobs? Why would they invest in more production if no one has any money to spend? Raising minimum wage will help to get more money circulating and in the long run, more money for the business owners.

Yes because raising wages has obviously worked in the past. I mean look at how the workers in the auto plants got raises and the cost of vehicles dropped. Wait that never happened.

I remember in the 70's when minimum wage was under $2.00 hr. There was plenty of unemployment then. If you want to be honest, the auto workers have taken pay cuts over the last several years and some companies have opened plants in the south where the labor is much cheaper. The price of vehicles have still gone up.
