One of the main problems is the value of the dollar is slipping downward. The fact the government is printing dollars like it was toilet paper does not help our problem. As long as our debt is being kicked down the road and not dealt with our economy will never improve. The dollar is backed by the promise of the US government (which this alone ought to scare folks to death) and at the rate the keep printing the value will only go down and this makes the cost of good seem higher. If we as a citizen took say a 10 dollar bill and used a majic marker to add another zero to the ten people would laugh, however this is what the government is doing by printing more dollars without anything solid backing them

No, I'm simply a "job creator" that pays the employees MORE than Illinois' Minimum Wage, which, by the way, is greater then the Federal Government's Minimum Wage Requrement.
Now, should you ever gain some job skill's that are adequate for for the positions available, dress appropriately, and are capable of being on time to perform the required duties, and bring with you the obvious same effervescent personality you demonstrate on this forum, I would certainly hire you!
Nah, you want to work for Donald Trump, I bet.

The cost of living would increase regardless of who gets a raise, but when everyone else gets a raise and minumum wage earners don't, it just pushes minumum wage earners farther behind. I wonder how much more they can stand.
If minumum wage is increased to $9.00 per/hr, this will be an extra $70.00 per week that will go into circulation, and that will increase supply and demand, witch means more jobs.
We freely give big raises to people who don't need it, which greatly increases the cost of living, but refuse to give small raises to people who do need it, which raises the cost of living very little. This widens the gap between the the rich and poor.
You are not wirth min.wages, that is why you are sitting on topix,no one will hire you.

"one of the problems", Obviously you have no intelligent response so you post the same message to every employer.

"Yogibear" presented an oft used argument to scare their employees into accepting the current Arkansas minimimum wage, i.e. if wages are required to be increased, I'll close my business.

Hopefully "Yogibear" will have enought employable skills to be hired by someone else and make more than minimum wage and support the family and have someone else set the hours.

Personally, I rather enjoy setting my own hours I have reliable employees that can do thier job, even if I'm not their.

They are worth more than mimimum wage, even Illinois' minimum wage and I'm happy to have them.

Personally, I'd rather pay more to keep a reliable worker than train a new one, even if I had to "take home" a little less.
But that philosophy has worked well for me for over 30 years being self-employed, and now I can work part time and enjoy my business is doing fine.

"no need for names here",

My Birth Certificate shows I was born in Randolph County Arkansas have more relatives living in Randolph County Arkansas than anywhere else in the United States.

I have fond memories of visiting relatives from Ravenden Springs, Imboden, Pocahontas, Hamil and various other communities.

I remember walking the "Square" visiting "Joe Pete's", Van Atkins,
the Drug Stores with the Soda Fountains, eating great bar-b-ques from the Dairy Queen, and swimming at the Current River Beach, going to the Theater just off the square, and being there as many of my relatives had their visitations at "Van Natta's".

Oh,and for your information,I have in my wallet the most important card any REAL AMERICAN can carry to PROTECT MY RIGHTS AS "AN AMERICAN", yep, I "packing" my Voter I.D. Card!

And as I recall I still have my First Amendment Rights.

Hopefully you will welcome a resident of Illinois with a car with Illinois Plates visiting your fine community and spend a few bucks in the local business establishments.

"no need for names here",

You are pathetically ignorant.

The topic is "Minimum Wage", the minimum wage is not determined by ONLY the voters of Randolph County, are they?

They are determined by the Federal or State Governments.

The individual States may increase them above the Federal level, but the individual employers of each State may not pay below the Federal level.

Now back to issues concerning the U.S. Constitution about which you are so uninformed.

Please hit those books again to get that GED.

You are spouting random facts that in your own mind you believe are helping your argument. I did not infer that you are only able to vote in Randolph co nor did I state that Randolph co makes the decisions for the entire country. Try again on your assessment as I am college educated.

"one of the problems"

As I review the last two post, who is posting to themselves?

Did I just get a whiff of your "brain fart"?

"ootp", you're a hoot.

Give it up and hit the books!

Let me be more explicit, something with a hard cover.

If you have to color them they will not help you much.

Excuse me, in your case they will.

Begin by not eating the crayons.

"no need for names here"

Your post about what difference do it make if I am a "registered voter" since "I can't vote in Randolph County".

I guess I missed your point.

But you being "college educated", please make your point.

Oh, and as you were posting, I did notice that "college ring" on your hand as you picked your nose.

Wait, I really don't know a single College that has a plastic school ring.

Thar you go just a funnin' me agin'!

Humm,

It appears that there is a major influx of workers to Pocahontas, since they can make a liveable wage of, what is that MINIMUM WAGE AGAIN,$7.25/HR?

Pocahontas is the new "BOOM TOWN".

Perhaps the growth would be better if we ELIMINATE THE MINIMUM WAGE altogether in Arkansas.

Boy Howdy!

You won't be able to sleep at night due to the unloading of professional moving vans unloading the households of "job creators" relocating to Pocahontas.

Shh! It's been working for years though, right?

Jess and no need for names is one person talking to himself, however the las post replied we should pay ppl what they are worth, but we cant do that because he does not work, however if you only paid what they were worth 50% of the employee's would starve to death, just showing up at the job does mean that you are a worthwhile employee.
