It is with my deepest regret and condolences that I report the class of 1982 have lost one of their best classmates. Wayne Johnson (brother of Greg from class of 1985) passed away yesterday morning after being in the hospital for about a week, developed pneumonia and passed away yesterday. RIP my dear friend. Wayne was a big guy with a wonderful personality, a heart of gold and a soul as big as heaven itself. RIP Brother..

Also I can't remember what year he graduated - maybe 1981?? But Nagel Britt also passed away and they had his funeral last week. He was a wonderful guy, loved by many, his visitation was overwhelming with so many that came out to pay their respects. He will be missed by many.

It's a good page to have so we can have some place to pay our respects, tell stories about those lost and keep in touch with others from our own class and others.

CCYR1980 - he went in to have surgery to repair a hole in his esophagus and long story short got infections and passed away was what I understood. The outpouring of folks at his visitation and funeral were tremendous. He was a very well liked young man.

yeah I remember her, killed herself by taking od of her dads heart pills. Because of all the bullying at school, incidently all those who bullied her went to her funeral because they got out of class for it.
What is so sad is that the same bullying in schools continue, and young lives are lost because they think there is no other way to get away from all the bullying
I have to say the one thing I took away from the death of my brother's best friend when they were in 8th grade was that a lot of the kids in the hallway were excited about getting out of school to go to the funeral. I was in the fifth grade at the time and it felt so disrespectful and disingenuous to see people acting like they were going on a field trip. The family were lifelong friends so it was devastating to say the least. And for the very reason you point out about the one's who bullied this girl going to the funeral I don't think that schools should be let out for a funeral of a classmate. I think the kids should have to have their parents check them out of school to be able to go. Probably won't do much, but it is an additional barrier that could eliminate these things.

I'm not attacking you with this post. Some of what you mentioned above did not need to be said. I understand you were discussing what happened to some of your deceased classmates, but their family and friends do, at times, read Topix. When they see or read something, it brings the loss, the pain and the emotions back up again, it re-opens the wound... especially on something they "may" not have known about. OR what also may just be rumors, and it causes them pain at the thought their family member, or even friend, went through something so traumatic before they passed.
Again, I'm not attacking you.
My deepest condolences to the families and friends of the PHS classmates who lost their lives. xxx

I have to agree with you. Something is way off with the tone of that post.

I know I'm late on the thread but can someone tell me what happened to Eli Neece? His brother Derek and I were in the same class at Sloan Hendrix and I'd heard Eli got murdered but that was all.
Eli was living with my sister-in-law, Vicki(Baltz)Parten, and the state crime lab, and the criminal investigators, have made it a "cold case", due to lack of evidence, so all we as family can do is pray that God will make sure that justice is done in the end. But the fire dept. and criminal invest. have both said there were more than 1 "hot spots" or places that the fire was started so we don't believe it was an "accident"
