With all the rain we are getting and the flooding going on everyone should be thankful that we have the Black River Levee to protect us.

A big salute to all the wonderful dedicated politicians we have in this great city as well.

Only took a second flood, many homes damaged, lives affected forever before the dedicated insult of leadership did anything.

HEAR HEAR And the Corp Of Engineers still watching their incompetence in the future. VOTE BUMS OUT!!! You tax payers keep paying for the DAMAGE CONTROL, What happened to the Ordinances that were establised to PREVENT problems, Grant money sent in years ago TO FIX INFRASTRUCTUE and Whos in charge of policing the insurance moneys per the FLOOD PLAIN ORDINANCE. That I tell you is not being ENFORCED but a lot of your elected officials and then some who are NOT elected Are collecting a nice bonus from GRANT MONEY coming down pipeline TO ENFORCE SUCH REGULATIONS TO PROTECT THE PEOPLE. It time to see where the money is going folks....NOT where you think! TEA!

tell that to all the folks upriver that get flooded by it and all the folks and businesses in east Pocahontas that are in the spillway of the dam levee. not real smart of us to let them flood homes and businesses vs low lying farm ground.

Talk to that Lady who sued the city and county few years ago, she is sueing the county again for violating her rights per the flood plain ordiance in County NOT " enforcing the ordinance" Uniformly and allowing anyone to violate the ordinance but for unless you are not popular, you will not get a pass to build, dam or construct , fill or you get a criminal threat from Joe Grider. Or you get criminal threat even tho you are not violating any ordiance. Kinda like the IRS scandal targeting who they dont like. I do believe she is putting it to them again for "making her obtain a permit 2 years after the fact of a activity on the river, fill or improvment" Its in the evidence that FEMA engineer and ANRC Ark. Natural Resouce Commissioner wrote letters to Grider and County Judge that she did not violate the ordinance, So shes suing for her money back and damages to her property by the county. She can sue for filing false affidavits too. Following this one too. I urge you folks in flood plain to go look at what a fraud our Flood plain Ordinance is and all the moneies paid out to people who keep flooding per the County allowing these folks to build and set up in violation of Flood Plain Ordinance. Its a racket and the money is drying up . You wont believe who is profiting from this scam too in our County. Hell fire ,, call a town hall meeting and ask the questions about the flood plain problems and demand answers. You are being scammed and elected officials and engineers are making receiving big bonuses from grant money and strong arming regular folks who obey the laws, but giving pass to all those who dont. All about the Money. TEA

They can be sued for damages if enough people will join together. What they are doing is illegal and harmful to the people as well as the community. The flood plain ordiance was established by the Community in 1987 and its not being inforced by our elected officials whom we are paying to make ordinances for lawful safety reasons. They have ignored the flood plain ordinance all these years. Its clear and in black and white if you will just look and bring this out in open. Dont let them shove this one under rug too, only one person sueing them is not enough, this will end up in a court of law and both parties will settle for damages and both parites will sign a confidential agreement not to talk about it. We dont hear about the injustice then. Have some public meetings on this issue, you will be ill to see what you learn.
Not Really

You can thank God for the floods, but he didn't make the levees. Your thanks are misplaced!
